Not really. A lot of us on here are observing a pattern in our play. Namely we go behind and seem unable to get back into the game. This has happened in last two games and has also occurred at Tranmere, Sutton (although we did "score" there I suppose), Mansfield (twice), Leyton O, Northampton and Rochdale. We are a better team this season but this trend is really frustrating and opponents know it. It's our Achilles heal.

Very difficult game this, They are not the bottom few clubs losing most weeks & lacking in confidence, They have won 4 out of the last five & full of confidence, That just might help us as they will fancy their chances and play open & we could hit them at speed on the breakaway, Could go either way this one, Play up Barrow

They've won 2 out of the last 5 league games and only 1 out of 5 in all fixtures.

I was repeating what I heard on the Radio & should have checked it out myself as not sure now

Agree. Was hoping with 80+ minutes in the game that we would find a way back onto it but frustratingly predictable we have struggled when going behind. Need to crack that if we are to maintain a top 7 position.

Why looking at the bottom 6 clubs, I know it’s habit as we are used to being a bottom feeder but imho not this season & hopefully not while PW is with us, Can’t see this team finishing anywhere near the bottom 10

Think you hit the nail on the head there. We've had fifty years of scarring we tend to look at tables from the bottom upwards rather than the other way round.

Absolutely spot on Mike. After the last two seasons a comfortable mid table finish and safe by February would be massive progress IMO.

Mid table and being safe by Feb, wouldn't be a massive improvement by opinion but fact*. Wild is building, and as disappointing as defeats are we have to put things in to context as to where we were and where we currently are. Wild will already be working out where we need to strengthen come Jan and I expect a couple in and a couple out during the transfer window.

* and actually the way we are going - I would be now a bit disappointed if we weren't in and around the playoff places come the end of the campaign.

Sorry - can't agree with that. Ray Wilkie's FA Trophy team of 1990 would give this one a run for its money, taking into account that they were non-league and hardly ever trained together!

Not a chance.

As good as we all think the 1990 side was, we finished something like 14th that season in a Conference that was miles behind the current professionalism and standards that we see in today's National League.

This is far and away the best Barrow side there has been for many many years. Thats not to say it's anything special at League 2 level but it's a far Barrow better side than most of us have come even close to seeing.

My first watch of the season and unfortunately we were way off the mark, especially when we were attacking their goal.
Their 6th minute goal was well executed and not bad defending. As for the so called disallowed goal (wasn't aware the ball had crossed the line) it was an old fashioned goalmouth scramble.
But it should of been an equaliser.
I agree Moyo looked out of his depth and Bennetts touch, for the time he was on the pitch, was awful.
Admittingly their keeper made an excellent stop in added time, but our chances were few and our shooting direction was erratic and atrocious.
It certainly wasn't an entertaining game and the officials left a lot to be desired. Our possession was ok but without penetration. Just a very bad day at the office.
Both sides had good patches and IMO Crawley played well, and certainly managed the end of the game well. The last few minutes were very predictable, lots of high balls but both their centre backs dominated the proceedings.
Let's back on track next week.

Was down seeing family back end of the week. Thought about staying longer to watch the game and chalk off another ground visited. Glad I didn't.

Only really seen glimpses of this lad & these are when he’s coming back from injuries but I think this lad will play a big part going forwards providing he isn’t one of those injury prone types who never get going or mast long enough before their next time out
