Second week in November and there’s only Brough (who should always start over Kenlock!) other than Whitfield with more than 1 assist this season, plenty on none. As good as Whitfield is he’s a League 2 player, can’t rely on him to provide the ammunition every week; other attacking players have to step up

Sorry - can't agree with that. Ray Wilkie's FA Trophy team of 1990 would give this one a run for its money, taking into account that they were non-league and hardly ever trained together!

FORZA BLUEBIRDS not the result that l wanted for my first game over, poor ref and ball up in the air most of the time, scrappy game all round. Still enjoyed the day out , good turn out from the Barrow fans for long journey. No easy games now but should get back on track next Saturday at home to Hartlepool.

This isn't the best side in 50 years simply because, you don't know which Barrow will turn up ,Evatts team was consistent and WE controlled games we lack someone to hold up / control the midfield ,the team is based on a pressing game and when certain players are missing we have NO plan B !

Wild’s game plan is effective though isn’t it. Look at their goal yesterday. Football’s a simple game broken down. Most of the goals at this level are from set pieces, mistakes, or less than 5 touches from the keeper to goal. You don’t see any team tearing anyone apart for 90 minutes and most games have less than 10 shots on goal between the sides.

I reckon the Cox side would have held their own. 20 odd games unbeaten albeit the level below. Forget just how consistent that side were.

That’s a great stat HK. It does give us a clue as to how opposition teams manage us.

I was sceptical of wild’s appointment, but I now love the guy. 2 points he’s made this weekend absolutely baffled me, firstly Crawley are not a very good team, they were garbage and secondly he kept saying starting badly lost us the game,we were one goal down not [SwearFilter] 3, and we had 80 minutes to turn it round. Crawley are now unbeaten in five league games one of them was a win against Mansfield. The interim manager has instilled some inner belief and determination into them that was self evident in the way they hung on for 80 minutes after scoring

In my opinion.

The Evatt team certainly played much more attractive football. The current team is functional at best and boring at worst in spite of its current high league position. On the positive side, most of the rest of the league are equally as poor so I'm expecting a mid-table position this serason.
