Pete Wild: great advert for League 2. Paid too much respect in opening 20 mins. He's really pleased with way we played and disappointed we didn't come away with the 3 points. Gave them a start - he accepts it was a pen. - but then controlled the game from 20 onwards. Reckons they're the best he's seen in his 18 months but we denied them the opportunity to play.

Well done. A decent result ... against a team that will still be close to the top come the end of the season ... Any team with McGoldrick in it ( and now with the added incentive of playing for his home town team ) is going to possess skill and creativity ( even given his advancing years ). We are competing well against the best in the league ... once we believe in ourselves a little more ... we can beat them too . There is little to fear right now ... keep at it lads ... we too can be up there at the end of the season ... Added confidence will allow us to take a few more chances.

Absolute bunch of [SwearFilter]’s first half. Once they took bostock off and we stopped giving them respect it was a different game. They’d of took a point full time

Great game and two really good sides. Would have been ecstatic if Whitfield had scored late on but a fair result.

First 20mins we gave them too much respect. Didn't close them down fast enough. Only 1 player was pressing and that was Sam Foley. Who I thought was MOTM. Up until his substitution. Once we realised they didn't like being pressurised, we were the better team and had chances to win the game. Luca I thought was excellent, as was Newby. Once we get that bit of luck and killer instinct in the forwards.......we will be in that top 7.

No high press first half, a stroll for their back four. Second half a lot better and should have won the game. Acquah my MOTM.

That was a really good game in the end when we actually started to believe!, I thought we'd done them in the end with the Whitefield chance but even if it had gone in I don't know if he was onside but the linesman didn't flag, Sam Foley absolutely fantastic, closely run by Robbie Gotts and young Stephenson what a prospect!

I must confess that listening to first 20 minutes I thought we were going to get a lesson and I was half expecting a 0-4 result. I need to have more faith in Wild and ‘the process’. It really does feel as if we are building something and it is getting better all the time.

Really enjoyed today really feels like a proper football ground now when decent attendance with all those seats.Good atmosphere singing barrow fans well done.Thought we were blown away first 25 minutes and in for a thumping .Then went for it and from then on opposition knew they in a game.Loads of possession and chances everyone working hard .Unlucky not to win but the opposition are good team if you let them play.Attendances increasing feel play like this. Have got a chance top 6 if not hampered by injuries.Well done team management team and the board.

That was a really good game in the end when we actually started to believe!, I thought we'd done them in the end with the Whitefield chance but even if it had gone in I don't know if he was onside but the linesman didn't flag, Sam Foley absolutely fantastic, closely run by Robbie Gotts and young Stephenson what a prospect!
The save from Farman from James Chester was top drawer it kept us in it !

The assistant held the flag down to indicate no offside - which is why brindley was then booked for over protesting
If it had gone in then the goal would have stood

No you’re not far off. We hardly touched the ball for the opening 10 minutes and we totally invited the pressure onto ourselves. We stood two yards off every Notts player with the ball and instead of getting stuck into them early on we allowed them to bring the ball to the centre circle unchallenged. It was only mid way through the half and possibly with the enforced change Stephenson for Warren that we managed to start putting some squeeze on when out of possession. It was a poor start by Barrow. But…..as the half went on and we grew in confidence and we starting showing that we could open them up down either side and through the middle and we finished the half thankfully still in the game.
Second half- like everyone else says, a good battle and a top game it turned out to be, we just couldn’t get the winner at the end but based on that we’ll be knocking on that top 7 door. Lots of good performances but agree with player of the match- Stephenson he’s a cracking player- calm on the ball and brilliant engine and Telford looked lively when he came on. Good entertaining game, but yes early on it looked like Notts were going to be too much for us.
