Our match day squad, even without the likes of Tiensia, Whitfield, Warren, Proctor on the bench is as strong as I can remember.

Very good win it was a strange line-up but all ended ok, any news on Whitfield, also the top 4 sides look very good but we can still aim for that 7th place onto Saturday Matt Smith with a hat-trick for Salford tonight.

Great performance tonight.It wasn,t pretty but we won.This team is getting better every game.So called supporters wrote us off after the last game when I said the goals would come..Paul Farman was brilliant and kept us in the game..We can do this.Onwards and upwards.

Fair enough - I’d just like to think that at 2-0 after 18 mins we’d exercise some form of control .

I think there was some control in our defending, Farms making a couple of decent saves was about the most of their pressure.

Just to put this season so far into perspective with the start made last season by Pete Wild.
In the first 14 games last season Barrow had 22 points.
At home 4 wins no draws ans 2 defeats.
Away we had won 3 matches, drawn 1 and lost 4.
This season after 14 games we are sat on 21 points.
At home 2 wins and 3 draws but no defeats.
Away we have won 3, drawn 3 and lost 3.
So at home we have played 1 less game and have 3 less points this season but away having played a game more have 2 more points.
So basically having played 5 home games and 9 away so far ( compared to 6 at home and 8 away last season) we are on par with last season, but would have be higher had we got the points from matches our performances probably deserved.
Let's hope we can now kick on and climb the table.

Good overall performance, not brilliant and not as sharp as some recent performances, but happy to take it. FGR looked good on the ball but didn’t threaten much after that early spell. Their forum is talking about how good our shape and game management were. FGR are in trouble - we may have just got another manager sacked …They had several very talented individuals, but not a team.
The results around us also went fairly well for us. The next two home matches are really important - win them and we are really pushing on again, lose them and it will feel very flat (can’t be bothered to comment on the other possible combination of results!)

Well done to all. 3 points away is always a great result ...and we had to grind it out towards the end ...but did it without conceding ( special credit to Farman for his key contributions) . Hard work , organization , people doing the right thing at the right time ...and now we are back to scoring goals as well . The future is looking very promising given the number of away games we have played already. Just need to add a few more to the crowds when we play at home now ( as is the case for every club , of course ) ... and results like this like this should help . Great stuff.
