Walsall. Park the bus time

Post by 32mile_cul-de-sac » Sun Nov 26, 2023 10:34 am

Two away wins for them in the league but generally on a poor run. Think we all know how they will approach the game. Will we find a way to get through a team that will come and park the bus. Don't see any reason why we cant win this with our new found centre forward George Ray. :D Tuesday under the lights and decent weather should be a cracking atmosphere.

If Gotts was concussed does this automatically rule him out for Tuesday?

Yes as concussion protocol would come into effect

Although he wasn’t taken off with concussion. He was back amongst the rest of the squad on the bench second half and is continuing to be monitored ahead of Tuesday was what Adam Temple said when I spoke to him after the game

Walsall fans across the world will expect to beat ex-non league Barrow, Walsall can park the bus or anything else if they want to this will be a tough night if we turn up, hopefully a decent crowd to support the lads.

Doubt that. Walsalls record against us is not far short of abysmal. This is definitely a game that on current form we would be expected to win.

Walsall are in poor shape. Their manager Matt Sadler is under serious pressure. Again a club whose leadership has a reputation for being parochial and weak. Managers changing on a regular basis and several key positions unfilled.

They’ve just appointed Garry Waddock as AM. Bluebirds fans will remember Waddock as manager at Aldershot in our NL days. Wouldn’t be surprised if he ends up as manager.

Scary perhaps. Can we actually win a game that we are favourites to win?

Makes me laugh that smallsall think there a big club , only average 1500 more than little barrow and there a midlands club.

I think we beat Aldershot and Waddock was sacked not long after that.
Unlike some if the bleating Managers when we defeated them he was gracious in defeat.

24th November 2018 Pedro. Aldershot 0-2 Barrow. Scorers Tyler Smith and Jack Hindle. Attendance 1536. Feels such a long time ago nowadays.

Also in the Barrow side that day was Kemy Augustien who got a lot of coverage on this forum at the time. Could never make up his mind if he wanted to play for us. Now probably telling everybody that he used to play for the northern powerhouse.

Sorry VDN that’s true. A lot of talk on their forum about replacing Sadler with Waddock.

Yet another US owned club with absentee owners. Proving not to be a great model at this level.
