MK Dons.

For all things Barrow AFC. Keep discussions civil and fair, we're all Barrow aren't we!

Three quarters of the after match show devoted to a team that is failing and will be relegated, whereas we have a team that is in an automatic promotion spot and gets such shabby coverage between 5 and 6.

Instead we have Lummy squaring up to people on social media. Someone needs to get a grip of him, and give a winning side the coverage it deserves. We get full match coverage which is great and more than a lot of teams get, but the after match is very definitely skewed towards Carlisle United, who have lost their last five!

Perhaps it's only to be expected with Radio Cumbria based in Carlisle, but it is very frustrating!
Carlisle have double or treble the fan base we have and so Radio Cumbria satisfy the majority of there listeners those being Carlisle supporters not Barrow. Stop crying about it the full interview is here https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p0h8wnky
There is not much difference in the population of the two towns.
BBC Cumbria is funded by the license fee.
We should have 50 % of the coverage
When Carlisle get relegated and we get promoted will they be the team that is interviewed second.

You must be frustrated yourself Adam with the sheer lack of coverage/time on the air you get. Your home town team flying at the top end of league and your interviews are being cut short so that lummy can call people out

Not a chance. Then and only then might it go to 50-50. I think RC really let themselves down today. What of BBC impartiality?

How did Proctor miss that header, by the way? Strangely impressive that he managed it.

I’m more frustrated at people moaning on here

I’ve posted the stations email address on many an occasion
If you have an issue complain to the station - posting on here isn’t going to do anything is it

We are allowed to discuss anything we fancy. What is the RC email address please?

His Holiness Archbishop 2-2 recent prophecy has been fulfilled, "I don’t think Proctor would score if it was on the goal line, [SwearFilter] useless striker".

Carlisle may have more population and attendances but everyone in Cumbria pays the BBC Licence fee. This is a corporation that is supposed to be unbiased!!!!!

Not saying you aren’t allowed to discuss things but all I’m saying is if you want to complain about something aren’t you better going to the actual source rather than just berating about it somewhere who can’t change it?

Sorry Adam, but it is a reasonable topic for Barrow fans to discuss and where else can we do it but on this forum.

It is really unacceptable to leave an interview with the Barrow manager to the last couple of minutes of the programme. I assume the interview is 'in the can' by 15 or 20 past five, so surely the presenter/producer only has to say "Well, hang on a minute Lummy, we have Pete Wild's interview, so we'll run that, then continue with the Carlisle post mortem." Better still, interrupt the discussion to go across to Adam live. You seee it all the time on TV, when the studio panel are discussing a match and the lead presenter says:" We've got Gareth Southgate now so over to xxxxxx pitchside for his thoughts on the game .....".

Not a loaded question but do you really think they would listen? People listen on a match day as it is chance to listen to how Barrow are doing and because you really are that good in commentary it makes it all the more enjoyable. The after game discussions are why everyone then turns off. I understand you say to get more Barrows fans to phone in but RC need to first make it so Barrow fans want to listen after the game. People don’t because it is Carlisle loaded.

And it's not just Barrow I may add.. ulverston, Dalton and surrounding villages.. and further beyond!
The audience is bigger than we probably think and I totally agree (sorry Adam) with peoples views on what really does feel like favouritism toward Carlisle.
They did well last term and with that, I agree they should have that air time, this term, it's our time and we deserve the air time!
Yeh fine, get the email addy up and I will be more than happy to have a gripe at RC.

Btw Adam, you do deserve more than what you get in terms of air time, would even go as far as saying you would be amazing at commentating on any level and are far better than some that do the prem or even international!

You have that old skool radio voice that gets the audience gripped.. in other words, well done mate, you really are brilliant at what you do! Take it as a compliment.
