You’d be crazy to leave a club who basically gives you what you want to go to that circus
Re: Wild for Huddersfield?
Barrow in league 1 on his CV would be good for him and his salary

Just say no to VAR

Re: Wild for Huddersfield?
If you read the Huddersfield article it actually say that he is not being considered as far as they know but in their opinion should be.
Clubs in Huddersfield’s position are desperate for somebody to keep them up. They are not yet in the rebuilding phase. They will always try and find someone like Neil Warnock who can save them.
Someone like John Eustace would be a great choice to do this. He also plays a not dissimilar style to PW - which by the way he has not been universally acclaimed for. But he’s done it in the Championship not.in League 2.
The Press are adopting PW as a poster boy atm for obvious reasons. Doesn’t mean that’s the reality.

Manager's can sign long-term contracts but lose 4/5 games on the trot and that's them sacked yes they pick up a nice pay-off and wait for the next job on the Manager's roundabout, Pete Wild might go before his contract ends but at least we get some compensation, so glad the BOD stuck with Pete in those bumps in the road.

Totally agree Jim.Barrow is Pete Wild's project and he is not even half way through it.I don,t think he is the sort of guy who goes back on a deal.He comes from an ordinary background and like he said "If it all goes wrong I,ll go back to my original job".I think he is a loyal guy who doesn,t go back on his word.Enough said.

Some might say this is just wishful thinking Methusalah given what the world of professional football has become, but I actually agree with you.Methuselah wrote: ↑Thu Feb 08, 2024 5:04 pm Totally agree Jim.Barrow is Pete Wild's project and he is not even half way through it.I don,t think he is the sort of guy who goes back on a deal.He comes from an ordinary background and like he said "If it all goes wrong I,ll go back to my original job".I think he is a loyal guy who doesn,t go back on his word.Enough said.
When he came to us he talked about a three year development plan (similar I believe to the approach he adopted at Halifax). He did have opportunities to leave Halifax before he came to us, but only did so once he missed out on promotion in his third season there. I've always thought that barring some unforeseen event that PW would do his three years with us as a minimum. The fact that he looks like he might be ahead of plan does not I think change that view. I do think the other two years are mainly for our protection though.
