Re: Wild for Huddersfield?
I’d take it as a compliment to how well Barrow are progressing this season
Go back 5-7 years
Do you think a second tier club would have been linked to Barrows manager , average attendances seemingly pushing 4000 , covered seats the length of 1 side , and Holker Street roofed
Ok - the two new stands are interesting
BUT
Luton , Watford and Wimbledon all reached top flight with grounds cobbled together
Be thankful for what we’ve got , and achieved
I fully appreciate - promotion to tier 3 may be a poisoned chalice
YES - the club have to go for it - otherwise what’s the point
But - we’ve all seen teams go up a division - only to crash back down
Bolton in 1979 era -
Bristol City 1979 era
Wolves 1982-86
All crashed to bottom division
Scary times
But enjoy it while it lasts
Maybes 4-5 years in play offs could be Fun
All the best to Stuart C aka the bird man of the ship yard
Pete

Re: Wild for Huddersfield?
Nice topic to have a chat about on a public forum, if you think it's a waste of time don't read don't comment, it's that simple. If a big club came in for PW like Evatt to Bolton scenario he would be daft not to take it imo.
Re: Wild for Huddersfield?
Carlisle United 2024
(actually, better make that "Carlisle United 2024??" just so the Commentator's/Chris on the Barrow Social curse doesn't kick in and I get the blame if they don't get relegated)
No bubblewrap unpopped.
