What would be your solution to retaining match fitness for players who aren't starting regularly?

But either way, not playing 17yr olds on a cow field for a start.
Today’s team had anywhere upwards of 7 regular starters.

Firstly an insult to Stalybridge to call Bower Fold a 'cow field'. Secondly there wasn't a single player started today who started at Salford - by 'regulars' i presume you mean the 'squad' as opposed to bringing someone in off the street.The 'B' team was set up as a combination of young lads trying to kick start their career after release elsewhere and first teamers needing game time. I'm sure the eventual target is a squad of the former but at present financies and facilities have it on the back burner. Your denigration of the concept shows lack of understanding to a large degree. Anyone of a certain age will remember in our previous FL life the major value the Reserves were particularly in blooding local players.

We`d get hammered with that formation because Ray Chester Canavan are too slow and Stephenson isn`t exactly quick, some one ( Newby would be stuck in no man`s land not knowing whether to twist or stick ) then that would mean only spence and Campbell in midfield what could go wrong ? !

I don't want to see any rotation for the rest of the season. Get your best side on the pitch and take the game to them. Rest them for the final 15 mins if the scoreline permits...but get into them!

Exactly play like the Morecambe game no excuses now it`s now or never .

If can you insult a pitch OK, however did you see it? Injuries waiting to happen for a game that didn’t need to.
There is no malice at all towards the 3 young lads who don’t make the squad or the opposition, will do wonders for them.
And I fully understand the concept, if as you say we have the ability to do what it’s intended for, but we don’t. Every other team we’ve faced put out their U18s.

I said they were all regular starters, and they are.
As we know the starting 11 flips that much they’re all regular starters! There’s no set 11. Maybe a set 4!
Everyone else chops & changes so yes. There were literally 3 non first team players involved today, as is always the case.

“Tired legs”, Nige they are full time professional footballers FFS, doing a job they love and a job many many young men would give their all to do.

This is similar to the Premier League clubs, they play a mid week game and when they drop points the manager claims that the players are tired.
They have the best training facilities, the best medical facilities, best nutritional advice, in fact the best of everything and they are tired?

Don’t think that’s true at all, and when you consider the championship,they play Saturday midweek,Saturday,every week,and never moan.

Watched the match, pretty turgid to be honest. Wycombe sat off them , and let them knock it about, odour was rather skilful will give you that.
