Watched the match, pretty turgid to be honest. Wycombe sat off them , and let them knock it about, odour was rather skilful will give you that.

I watched the second half of Bradford v Wycombe. The Valley Parade pitch looked horrendous! Far worse than the hallowed turf of Holker Street.

I thought Bradford City played some nice football on a rain sodden surface. If it hadn't being for poor finishing and great goal keeping they'd be going to Wembley. Don't wish to sound negative - I have to be honest - and say that if they play like that on Saturday, they'll beat us Andy Cook will be playing so poor finishing won't be an issue. And Graham Alexander will be motivating his players for Saturday, of course and seeking revenge, for it was Barrow AFC's win at MK Dons that led to him losing his job.

Barrow fans are urged to behave responsibly at the weekends match with Bradford City, Police have teamed up with Barrow bosses as a bumper crowd is expected to attend at Holker Street, Officers are appealing for fans to not let emotions spill into criminal activity, Superintendent Sarah Jones said we are expecting a large crowd, therefore there will be a significant policing presence in and around the stadium and Town centre on Saturday. of course it is, no one bothers about away support they can do what they want , I remember Bradford fans working up Holker street with pint glasses in their hands when we were stood by turnstiles at Holker street end and Police did not do anything, not saying we are angels but now and again they need to sort out some of the away teams supporters.

I went to this fixture last season and was baffled by the ridiculous police presence in the town. The type of away fans of bigger clubs in the lower leagues that secure tickets for a smaller away capacity are almost always long standing regular supporters with season tickets with no interest in fisticuffs and just want to support their team. The type you can have a good blether with in the pubs beforehand.

It just strikes me as an easy, well paid day out for those in uniform. Much better than chasing baddies.
