Re: Gillingham ve Barrow, match thread
I wasn’t sure about the starting 11, but I can see that a draw would have been OK. However, once we were 2-0 down, with 10 men, there was no point in risking Stockton and Telford.
Missed opportunity, given other results, but I am sure Crawley, Crewe, MKD, Wimbledon and Walsall are all thinking the same thing. Only Gillingham and Doncaster winning from 4th down to 12th place.
We need to win at Crawley because Doncaster look unbeatable at the moment.

Re: Gillingham ve Barrow, match thread
Gillingham have the fewest goals for (bar FGR) of any team in the League, yet they stick in 3 against us, whilst we fail to score for the 2nd consecutive game.
We've now got to play Crawley (7th), Doncaster (8th) and Mansfield (3rd) with no Ray with only a 3 point advantage.
We have a very difficult game next Sat. at Doncaster who've won 7 on the trot, the form team of the league. They won 4 - 0 today.
Our playoff chances might very well come down to getting a result v Mansfield in the last game, a very tough ask the way we're playing.

You would be absolutely buzzing if you had to play us in the run in. Far too many bottlers in the team
Re: Gillingham ve Barrow, match thread
And on here too
I wouldn’t put it past us to go to Doncaster and get a win. Anyone can beat anyone in this league especially if you lose a player as early as we did.

You're right Mark, too early to panic ,I'll save that till we play Bradford and we still haven't gained a point!

Time for PW to show if he is as good as we all want him to be.. taken a hit today and we have been very lucky with other results going in our favor!
Time to shine Gaffer, time to get your troops to either stand up and be counted or fall by the wayside and be hasbeens..
But whilst we are still in with a chance, you make sure everyone is right up for this now!

Won’t Ray be back for the Mansfield game? It’s only a three match ban isn’t it?SayitagainSam wrote: ↑Sat Apr 13, 2024 5:01 pm Gillingham have the fewest goals for (bar FGR) of any team in the League, yet they stick in 3 against us, whilst we fail to score for the 2nd consecutive game.

Hard one today, but too many permutations and outcomes- we’ve just go to stay focused and keep backing them. We are still in there.

Re: Gillingham ve Barrow, match thread
Whatever happens Pete will now know who to keep and who to get rid of , pressure shows who can be relied on and who can't, I said to Paul this might happen because I looked at our squad and 13 players are good but when you have to dig deep people then have to knuckle down and without mentioning names ( think everybody has an idea) there's some of our squad who's hearts don't appear to be with our club so if we did miss out ,I'm certain our management will put things right!

You right Jonty but we must never forget how far we’ve come and that we are little ol’ Barrow. We continue to strive towards shooting ourselves in the foot at every opportunity. Decisions going against us, 50/50 going against us long/short passes going astray. Come on Wildy sort it, it’s always been ours to throw away. Yes it’s in our hands but it’s only because of other results going for us. No way should we be getting hammered 3-0 even down to 10 men period.
We need a f@@@@@ing miracle.

Get the "little ol barrow" out ya head... You wonder sometimes if this is half the bloody reason why we capitulate?Barrow afc 2018 wrote: ↑Sat Apr 13, 2024 5:24 pmYou right Jonty but we must never forget how far we’ve come and that we are little ol’ Barrow. Re: Gillingham ve Barrow, match thread
Some properly embarrassing behaviour by some barrow fans in the away end today. Really disrespectful of a tribute to an (I think) ex Gillingham player who had recently died. Looked like one of the little scrotes had spent the entire coach trip snorting. Fine, be loud, be rude, but don’t be obnoxious [SwearFilter].
Never stood a chance after Ray, but they kept running. Foley our best player.
