Catalyst for their deal with Barrow was the Sky deal with the EFL and the massive international exposure that comes with it. They considered four English clubs and chose Barrow first as a good fit; they retain an interest in the remaining three.
Mr Byrne suggested that 'they' would be happy to attend Barrow games home and away (thought that was Australia
) and to talk to people at Holker Street about N&L and the job opportunities there but repeatedly stressed that their target area was much wider (internationally, presumably).Worth a listen.
