Following @SkySports' first batch of broadcast selections this season, we can confirm that our fixture against @officialcufc on August 17th will now kick off at 12:30 pm.
Ticketing information will be provided in due course.
Clubs took the money on a shocking deal. Drop in attendances agents wanting more for new signings on the back of increased tv money. Fans inconvenienced in date and time changes for kick offs I don't see anything good about it. EFL2 clubs wont be any better off financially in the long run.It should have been nothing less than one million for efl2 clubs IMO.behind the goals wrote: ↑Wed Jul 03, 2024 1:37 pm Clubs take the money can't really complain just have to get used too it.
EFL 2 clubs will see a drop in gates due to TV games. Away followings wont be the same either. All in alll its a lose lose deal for lower league clubs and there supporters IMO.behind the goals wrote: ↑Wed Jul 03, 2024 4:09 pm 72 EFL Clubs wonder how we voted or did the Championship Clubs have the majority of votes, regarding the drop in attendances can't see that being a problem for Championship Clubs or Clubs with a large following our gates will be determined by our performance we'll still be in the bottom 5/6 averages for league 2 regardless of the Sky deal.
They are expecting a 10/12k gate as they are excited by the millions spend all over the ground in improvements from the recent ish takeover & early home derby game, So it’s a bit different from a standard mid season game imo
Agree Mike, let’s hope the only difference is the result and we come away with somethingmickmike wilson wrote: ↑Sun Jul 07, 2024 12:48 pmThey are expecting a 10/12k gate as they are excited by the millions spend all over the ground in improvements from the recent ish takeover & early home derby game, So it’s a bit different from a standard mid season game imo
Be disappointed with anything under 11k for this one. We've sold more season tickets than we did for 23/24, and with this being a Saturday in August I'm sure you'll bring 1500? First home league game of the season, Charlie Wyke's return to Brunton Park, the well publicised investment in the club... all factors which should drive a decent crowd.
Your lot should enjoy a great season especially after your record breaking season last time outMoonie wrote: ↑Sun Jul 07, 2024 7:42 pmBe disappointed with anything under 11k for this one. Patience is the key this season imo. Remember Ian Evatts first season. We showed flashes of what we were capable of but we were so inconsistent. This season could very well be similar.Lancaster Branch wrote: ↑Mon Jul 08, 2024 12:11 am Will the ‘gelling’ period not apply to us too? New manager, new philosophy, several new players etc.
We’re probably behind Carlisle in that sense, given they were making signings in January for this season.
We need to be patient, moreso than if it were Wild’s third season, imvho.
