First 15 mins it was all barrow then a deflected header and a couple soft penalty’s changed the game. They also looked a lot sharper which is understandable as they’re season starts this week

We had a penalty disallowed when one of our players was brought down in the box.If that had been given I think it could have been a very different game.The ref seemed to let them get away with a lot,whereas he punished us for the slightest thing.I didn,t think we played that bad in the first half.Some of the refs decisions were bizarre to say the least.One of our players had been flattened by one of theirs and he waved play on while our player was laid out on the pitch.I think.it was only when we won back possesion that he stopped the game.Their second goal and our disallowed goal changed the game.Like has already been said it,s better to find out our weaknesses before the season starts.

It's great to have different pre-season games but going from playing Northern Prem to 4th in the Scottish Prem was a step too far! The first half was OK, we started brightly and held our own throughout occasionally threatening to equalise. Defence looked reasonably solid - Vassell is a real unit - until Mazeed went off injured. Midfield and up front we tried but too many passes went astray and Telford and Dallas just didn't get it together at all; there was just no understanding between them.
Second half McInnes had obviously got stuck into them while we were still with our heads in the dressing room and within minutes 2 more goals worse off. We were caught on the ball way too often and presented no goal threat whatsoever. Playing towards us it was 20 minutes in before we saw the whites of our forwards' eyes.
A disappointing night but Tuesday will give us a better idea of where we are against a side with which we can draw a reasonable comparison.

Yeah I did think that looked a pen. Pre season is a weird one. My local non league side had a ref that mostly does Sunday league officiate the other day. So I’m not sure what level they get in for these sort of games. Score line was flattering I’d say. You could see how we were trying to play they just looked fitter and moved the ball so much faster. Ultimately we could of won or lost 10 nil and it still doesn’t matter, it’s all about minutes in the legs

Well said MP. I’m not trying to make excuses for last night, but we were obviously chosen as warm up material for a Killie side who’s next game is in the Europa League next Thursday. Not only are they playing football at a much higher level, their circumstances mean that they are much fitter and will have fielded a stronger side. They surprised a few in Scotland last season with how good they actually were.

These kind of ties are very interesting from a spectator point of view but don’t tell you much in the great scheme of things. Stockport will be a better indicator of just how far short we are.

First half was very evenly matched, little bit more quality in the final 3rd and we would have probably been ahead at the break.

2nd half they were ruthless and blew us away - very strong, very athletic, which to be fair you would expect for a side that are at the end of their pre-season campaign and getting ready for the nitty gritty of competitive football in 6 days time.

Things to learn which you hope will be looked at an addressed in training on Monday, then you go again on Tuesday

Rather have games like this in pre-season rather than on the 10th August.

We weren’t going to walk the league after 3-0 wins and 5-1 wins against FC and Holker
We aren’t going to be relegated after a 5-0 loss at Killie

My biggest concern and it’s nothing to do with not scoring last night is goals in this team. I simply don’t see who/where they come from. Miss an out and out goal getter.

No Sam Barns again

Injured again won't be seen for 2/3 weeks how did he pass his medical looking like another player on a season long contract and hardly featuring we like signing Injured players.
