Looks as if Wigan may, for a friendly, bring a decent number of supporters tomorrow. It all helps to cut the losses!

There will be commentary on tomorrow’s game

DAB+, AM and online via the BBC Sport website and app
This is different to BBC Sounds

You need to go to the Barrow AFC page on the BBC sport website and the link for commentary of Barrow AFC v Wigan will appear at the top of the page.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/teams/barrow

Due to the Olympics the commentary will not be available outside of the UK as BBC streams are Geoblocked due to broadcast rights associated with the olympics

Correct regarding the league in which Whitfield got 8 but he got 2 in the FA Cup making his total 10 (not 11 as I first said). Personally feel we will miss Whitfield this coming season.

Ah the Trophy goal now I remember how he got 11 goals last season.

According to someone on their forum it was a strong side. However the manager was far from happy with the display so perhaps they may be punished by making them play again today. Both Tranmeres' goals were penalties apparently for shirt pulling.

This has not been the most coordinated of pre-season schedules. From 2 warm-up games to cannon-fodder for a Europe-ready Scottish premier side, to a Stockport side who didn't understand where it was to be played and pulled out and now a bunch of kids from Wigan because their main squad played last night at one of our rivals.
Don't let the old man in.

Absolute joke, doesn't bode well for the future.
