Re: Carlisle v Barrow Match Thread
Very very disappointed, Clem says We will always start strong, We didn't & they outfought us, Especially 1st half.
Selection, hmm Robbie isn't a 10 is he so nullified himself, Aqua aimless & shouldn't start for me, id bring him on late every game until he ups his work rate & earns more minutes.
Mahoney had a good game as did Kouyate when he came on, Spense tried but with Gotts & Campbell off it he was shackled somewhat.
Lowest away Att ever up there & all in all not much joy today but early days still as Clem figures it all out but will we ever beat these Scots !!

I don't want to get on anyone's back as there's so long to go and I think Carlisle were average at best and just capitalised on an error but if gotts is our creative outlet we are in trouble. Like you say there's more issues but it's a marathon not a sprint and hopefully, as Mr wild would put it "it's a bump in the road."russell_anderson wrote: ↑Sat Aug 17, 2024 3:09 pmCorrect but he's a long way from being the only one. Any team only has to stop Spence and Campbell playing and we're stuffed because without those 2 we have nothing creative plus a non-existent strike force._bluebird_ wrote: ↑Sat Aug 17, 2024 3:05 pm I get stick for saying it but Robbie gotts is not good enough, weak as [SwearFilter]. We won't challenge with him at no. 10

Fully agree, I would tell him, you dont work hard enough for a Pro Footballer for me so from today onwards your benched & will come on for the last 20/25 or to close games out & IF you work your socks off, & your minutes on the field will reflect that, So no complaints as your destiny is entirely in your own hands

We look a Very average team for this league. We will be around mid table. Not enough strong characters in the team. Some decent players but you need more. We missed feely today. Should have brought foley on for Campbell in second half.

Re: Carlisle v Barrow Match Thread
None of our strikers can play up front alone … when playing away we just need to be brave and stick to 2 up front. Aquah was completely isolated. He needs players around him. Very disappointing that we changed the formation today , shows too much respect for Carlisle when they have had a poor start we should have just gone for it

Its always doom whatever happens .. win 5 times in a row the managers off and taking all the players lose a game 1-0 and it's doom and gloom time and we are being relegated.Van Der Nipper wrote: ↑Sat Aug 17, 2024 3:29 pm Huge head loss here, but then again nothing new for this forum.

Not really if we cannot beat Carlisle we are in for a few spankings and lots of draws.Van Der Nipper wrote: ↑Sat Aug 17, 2024 3:29 pm Huge head loss here, but then again nothing new for this forum.
We have had two seasons without a goal scorer
This everyone wants one is neither here or there.
Re: Carlisle v Barrow Match Thread
What do we want?
VAR, VAR, VAR.
When do we want it?

Factually if we were anywhere near we would have spanked Carlisle.Bingo wrote: ↑Sat Aug 17, 2024 3:39 pmIts always doom whatever happens .. win 5 times in a row the managers off and taking all the players lose a game 1-0 and it's doom and gloom time and we are being relegated.Van Der Nipper wrote: ↑Sat Aug 17, 2024 3:29 pm Huge head loss here, but then again nothing new for this forum.
A team that had not won.
Really not good enough
Re: Carlisle v Barrow Match Thread
Alot are not good enough not just Newby .
Re: Carlisle v Barrow Match Thread
Vassell tried to buy a foul, he got one earlier in the game and also in the Crewe and Port Vale games he did it, shades of Tom White about him but riskier as last man.
