Injuries
The only downside to yesterday’s win were the injuries to Feely and Mahoney. I wonder how far away Barnes, Stokes and Ogungbo are from making a return ? I get the impression Mazeed is longer term but Barnes and Stokes might be sooner.

I might have missed this one but is Stokes injured or just not up to match fitness?FanzoneFan wrote: ↑Sun Aug 25, 2024 9:30 am The only downside to yesterday’s win were the injuries to Feely and Mahoney. We didn't underestimate them, we just didn't think they were that good.

Stokes is injured but back on the grass. Clemence mentioned it in one of his pre match interviews. I’m unsure if it was the clubs or Adam’s interview

Re: Injuries
On BBC interview late in post-match show.
All three longer-term injuries making progress, training on grass and perhaps not too far away.

Re: Injuries
On injuries if any of our midfielders get injured or suspended we've only got foley as back up as we haven't replaced Tom White!
Re: Injuries
Be interesting to see the team selection on Tuesday. Clemence may go strong again but with a squad of 24 and 5 out injured that maybe something he will consider taking into account we play a very pysical and combative team in Harrogate at the weekend.
I wouldn't be surprised if Barrow bring in a couple of more bodies (possibly loanees or youngsters)to bulk up the squad. Although we are not, I believe, playing in the Central League this season we are playing in the Lancs Cup & I think the Central League cup this season. Plus., of course, the EFL trophy comp.

Re: Injuries
No problem covering those 2 in the short term as Eccleston and, on Saturday's form, Newby just as good. Plus further cover on right wing in Worrell and, as Jackson can play on either side cover at left back in Tiensia.FanzoneFan wrote: ↑Sun Aug 25, 2024 9:30 am The only downside to yesterday’s win were the injuries to Feely and Mahoney. Re: Injuries
I was surprised that Clemence went with such a strong side in the first round. My instinct tells me that he believes cup runs are good for a squads development. I think he might go with a strong squad again.
Harrogate have the same problem as they are in round 2 also.

Really, in one of the interviews he gave he more or less said it's in the way !Suffolk Blue wrote: ↑Sun Aug 25, 2024 3:56 pm I was surprised that Clemence went with such a strong side in the first round. Re: Injuries
Clemence is still new to us Nige. I guess we’ll see on Tuesday. When questioned about the strength of the team put out in Round 1, he was quoted as saying something to the effect that in early season, you are still trying to get optimum minutes into players legs and they are all capable of playing twice a week. If that was his view then why would he change when confronted with a bigger target.
Personally I think the one that we might see lots of changes might be Bolton in the EFL trophy.

Mahoney out for a while. Do we go in for another winger?

Re: Injuries
Sadly seems to be getting worse, it will be interesting to see our starting line up for the Bolton, Bristol Street Motor tie. I’d genuinely like to see us progress in this competition due to the prize money on offer, but think we could be struggling to fill the bench.
