Mmm. Maybe the first signs of a more cautious approach from Clemence. Looks a tad more defensive. Expecting not a huge amount of possession. Good options on the bench if we are still in the game after an hour. If not rest them until Saturday
That’s a reasonably strong Derby side too though Yates on the bench. Again could become a free for all if still all square later on

If Stanway isn't going to get a game in a competition we aren't going to win, then when is he? I presume the league is our main target . If Farman gets injured ( God forbid) does Stanway play on Saturday or do we get a loan keeper , with experience, in to cover? Just a thought.
Re: Barrow vs Derby Match Thread
Good effort from Garner matched by a smart save from the Derby County keeper
Re: Barrow vs Derby Match Thread
Cracking reflex save from Farman

Very competitive performance so far, certainly not overawed and a bit more quality in the final 3rd and we could have been ahead. Keep our focus in the 2nd half and we could do this.

Subs: Dallas for Foley; Worrall for Kouyate
Tremendous effort by Foley who hasn't had a lot of minutes.

Re: Barrow vs Derby Match Thread
Who remembers when folk on here wanted rid of Paul Farman?
Re: Barrow vs Derby Match Thread
Good performance nothing between the two sides. Thought we looked slick at times, like Telford in the 10 role.
Neo Eccleston looks a real find, quick, decent feet, natural instincts to go forward and didn't mind getting stuck in. Feels getting injured could be a blessing he's an honest trier but very limited. Neo will enhance the way Clemence wants to play as shown tonight.
