Re: Tonight's League (Carabao) Cup Draw
Anyone think the away end will sell out ? I see SB holds 3k away fans. You think we will bring that on a weds ?
Re: Tonight's League (Carabao) Cup Draw
They got just over 37k playing to afc Wimbledon last year, personally can’t see it being that different, even though that was a practical Derby.Shaun wrote: ↑Wed Aug 28, 2024 11:21 pm28-30,000 tops I reckon. How much would that work out as ?saltcellar wrote: ↑Wed Aug 28, 2024 11:19 pm If 37,000 attend and pay the lowest category price of £27 then Barrow's 40% share would be about £400,000
Let's hope we get that.

Take off VAT and expenses and it will be lower - but still a good pay daysaltcellar wrote: ↑Wed Aug 28, 2024 11:19 pm If 37,000 attend and pay the lowest category price of £27 then Barrow's 40% share would be about £400,000

Some people really do need to think a bit more before they post things on here

Excellent draw for Barrow. Nice little earner.
Reading Chelsea supporters social media comments makes you realise how classy the Villa supporters were when we played them in the Cup a couple of years ago.

A big part of that crowd will have been Wimbledon fans - travelling down to London on a midweek night for either a coach trip return or overnight stay means we're not taking Sunderland, Middlesbrough numbers though. It would be amazing if so.

Re: Tonight's League (Carabao) Cup Draw
Wimbledon will have taken more than we will; probably even some in the home ends
Re: Tonight's League (Carabao) Cup Draw
I've just kind of made that point in another reply.HenneysKnee wrote: ↑Wed Aug 28, 2024 11:38 pmWimbledon will have taken more than we will; probably even some in the home ends

I know a lot of you on here think United, City & Liverpool fans are a bit arrogant but the Chelsea lot take it to a whole new level. A very arrogant and entitled set of supportersAugustusCorpa wrote: ↑Wed Aug 28, 2024 11:29 pm Excellent draw for Barrow. Nice little earner.

I'd love to think we'd take a couple of thousand down there. But yeah, Weds night and all that.... edit: or TuesdayMark Johnson wrote: ↑Wed Aug 28, 2024 11:21 pm Anyone think the away end will sell out ? I see SB holds 3k away fans. You think we will bring that on a weds ?

I'd imagine the players and staff are absolutely buzzing.

Let's hope Chelsea shove out their D or C team, they've got that many players
as much as it's an amazing day out getting dunked on by Cole Palmer would just be cruel.

If I have read things correctly, Chelsea have 28,000 season ticket holders.
Their seaon ticket includes entry to all home Premier league games, EFL Cup and FA Cup ties.
If that's the case we already have 28,000 paid spectators.

There will be plenty there from Barrow or people with Barrow connections. I can't believe (well.i can) that people can still find the negative in such a wonderful draw.
Re: Tonight's League (Carabao) Cup Draw
It is. There’s a Sainsbury’s in the concourse as you come out of Fulham Broadway station, but other than that it would be M&S Food, Waitrose, or God forbid, Wholefoods Market where a Chelsea bun, never mind a Chelsea pun, will set you back an arm and a leg.Shaun wrote: ↑Wed Aug 28, 2024 11:18 pmI wouldn't even want to hazard (not a Chelsea pun) a guess. Tesco Extras, corner shop Sainsbury's etc, are your friend for beer and food. Stock up early and don't pay the prices there, in and around the ground. It's an expensive area.Suffolk Blue wrote: ↑Wed Aug 28, 2024 10:59 pm That’ll do nicely. Probably the most expensive chicken balti pies in football.
There are a couple of chippies on Fulham Broadway: Fish n Chip Shack (never been) and Kennedy’s which is decent, or one of those German Doner Kebab places (so-so).
As for pubs, forget it. I can only think of two in the immediate area, and both get their fair share of ‘Terrible’ reviews on TripAdvisor. Not that it matters anyway; I know one doesn’t serve away fans pre-match and I don’t imagine the other does either.
No bubblewrap unpopped.
