Can I cage a lift on one of the coaches at Knutsford Services on the M6? Bit of a nightmare getting to Chelsea on a Tuesday night from Manchester area. Last train out of Euston is at 10pm!!! Will find a way.

I have a similar problem with getting a train back to Darlington. Living in the north east, I am wondering about driving to (eg) Milton Keynes or Cambridge, as there are trains out of London right through to midnight. Just the danger of getting assaulted and mugged puts me off a bit!

Jim, Thameslink services to Luton and/or Bedford, as well as stations in between, run all night from London St. Pancras. Bit of a gap after 1am, admittedly.

To Bedford on a weeknight:

23.37
23.54
23.58
00.02
00.11
00.18
00.35
00.58
02.44
03.44
04.44
05.16
05.42

Will not take you long to travel from The Bridge to Central London.
Also can recommend parking in Stanmore (the Northern end of the Jubilee Line) close to Junction 4 on the M1 or even Borehamwood if you drive down the A1. Elstree & Borehamwood station is on the Bedford/St. Pancras line and about 25 minutes to St. Pancras.

Bedford/Luton may be a decent option - depending on parking.

I'll be going from just north of Cambridge but will avoid starting at Cambridge. My best bet will be Royston or Stevenage (both easier access off the A1 and easyish parking). Unlike Cambridge, both have trains running after midnight. The other alternatives are to drive a bit nearer to London and catch the Tube or Thameslink. I've used Stanmore to get to Wembley before and Radlett (on the Luton line) to get to Milwall/Charlton and all points from St Pancras.

I'm not sure how long it will take to get a tube back from Stamford Bridge after we've taken them to penalties and celebrated the win. Midnight might be pushing it.

Anyway, I've got my ticket.

Jim, another option is to get 23:45 sleeper train to Carlisle, then an early morning train back home on the Wednesday. I’ve booked the sleeper train back to Glasgow after the game.

I am in the Trust - I didn't know if they did pick ups or not. If they do then who do I contact?

Thought of driving to Stanmore (which I don't really want to do) then the Tube from Stanmore to Fulham Broadway it takes about an hour with a couple of changes at Earls Court & Green Park.
