Had to wait a while for the ramblings of Carlisle on RC to end, but SC seems to agree that it’s only a one game ban for Farman, and doesn’t regret the 6 outfield players, Feely did do well but imo it’s a gamble not having a reserve gk on.

SC holds his card close to his chest and doesn’t wear his heart on his sleeve like Wild did, which imo is a good thing in this long tough league.

Sickening to concede that sucker punch right at the end but proud of the efforts. Garner’s goal was a lovely finish.

It is a gamble to not name a sub keeper but understand the rationale behind it when we can only have 6 subs.

Absolutely unbelievable effort from every player today on that pitch we didn’t deserve that, but there’s never any excuse for not having a keeper on the bench and saying I’d rather have more options outfield. You can’t tell me that those 5 players can’t change a game from any position, but the 1 that matters is the keeper, it might happen once/twice a season where a keeper gets sent off or injured, but it’s cost us points today Stanway must be thinking what is the point of me being here! Clemence has done nothing wrong at all great addition breath of fresh air but I will never understand a mangers decision to not have a keeper on the bench

Not surprised. Very little effort from him too when he came on. Was just drifting. If he’s not match fit, why not bring Telford on

Very frustrating because all of our efforts were undone by the fact we couldn’t hold on to the ball for just a few seconds with our only real opportunity to do so

To be fair, if they think that they've got an outfield player who can do a job in net if needed, there's nothing wrong with not having a GK on the bench. They obviously think Feely can do a good enough job if needed, and it's not him being in net that caused dropped points.

It was feelys save that lead to the corner that lead to their man being sent off .. tactically spot on so I retract my last comment.
However to give the ball away cheaply at 97 mins is criminal

I dont think a last minute strike should take anything away from what was an excellent team performance. Kian spence and ged garner both deserve a mention but so do the rest to be fair. What a team we have this season, I'd be shocked if spence is still our player next year. Feel very optimistic about the season after these first few games, not many sides will want to come to Holker Street this season. The spot was bouncing at times today

Swindon.look a poor side the 10 and 5 were right s**t houses constantly pulling and pushing players over on corners glad when 10 was sent off for serious foul play. Officials were not great hope the assessor made plenty of notes. Last minutes goal was a sickener but really proud of the second half effort and Feely in goal did a great job just shame we didn’t keep the ball down their end.

Thought we did ok today and Freely did well in goal for a person who isn,t really a goalie.Steve Cemence's gamble very nearly paid off.We really deserved to win this and the ref did everything to help Swindon.Some of his decisions were baffling.He is not of a good enough standard to referee matches at this level.Their goal at the end was definitely a mistake by Andy Dallas.He should have just kicked the ball away as far as he couldn't as the clock was running down.Even at the low level of football I played at as a defender we were always told to kick the ball out when the game was nearing the end.Hopefully he will learn going forward.We can,t afford to giving away leads when we are that close to the end of a match.

I don't know if it's been mentioned on here, but the Swindon forum says Feely is a former Gaelic Football player and has been named as a sub keeper in the league of Ireland before.

A tremendous team performance defending a one-goal lead for an hour with outfielder Rory Feely in goal following Paul Farman’s 41st minute dismissal for a handball. We let the lead slip with only 3 seconds of the 8 minutes of added time at the end remaining, a sharp shot which would have tested a full-team keeper agonisingly slipping between Feely and the left post. The fact Barrow earned a corner in that last minute and failed to keep the ball led to the sucker punch.

An incident filled match also saw Swindon Town's Harry Smith red carded in the 65th minute for an elbow on Vassell.

Swindon earned a free kick in the first minute, Farman saving Wright’s shot.

In the 7th minute a Newby cross saw Garner shoot over. Seven minutes later a good strike from Newby himself was punched away by Bycroft.

In the 22nd minute, a bad foul by Freckleton on Eccleston gave Gotts a free kick from 10 yards on the right. Played out to Spence on the edge of the area, our No.8 shot over the bar.

Swindon’s Clarke then went down injured and had to be replaced by Sobowale.

On 35 minutes, Garner had the ball on the left edge of the area. Seemingly too narrow an angle to score, the crowd went ecstatic when the ball nestled in the far corner for 1-0.

Another Swindon injury then saw Hall replaced by Delaney.

In the 41st minute, Farman found himself stranded out of goal as Kilkenny was unleashing a long-range shot towards the empty net. The shot went wide- and the reason became apparent when Farman was sent off for handball. Swindon’s Wright was also booked

With Stanway not on the bench, Kouyate made way for Feely who donned the No.1 shirt.

With the injuries and handball delay and agonising 7 minutes of added time went with our lead still intact- and many fearing the worst. The nearest shave was a Tshimanga shot which went wide in the 5th minute of time added.

The second half saw Feely earn man-of-the-match for his solidity in goal supported by a team who soaked up the pressure and engineered more chances despite a one-man disadvantage.

The second period began with a third injury enforced substitution by Swindon, Cox replacing Sobowale. In the 57th minute, Cox unleased a shot which went over the bar.

On the hour, Kilkenny was yellow carded for a foul on Garner.

After King was fouled by Campbell, Glatzel replaced Cain for the visitors. The 64th minute free kick by King was punched away by Feely to applause from the Barrow fans.

A minute later, during the resultant corner, Vassell was elbowed by Smith near Barrow’s goal line and sent off for violent conduct.

Swindon’s Glatzel then went down injured in the 70th minute and his head had to be bandaged. Within ten minutes he was replaced by Drinan.

In the 78th minute, Cox placed a close-range header wide of the post following a King cross. Worrall and Dallas then came on for Newby and Garner, and five minutes later Foley replaced Gotts.

In the 85th minute, Feely saved a King free-kick, the ball bouncing in front of him.

Eight minutes of added time were added, the crowd loudly supporting the lads throughout. We survived a 93rd minute Swindon free-kick and then a Tshimanga header which went wide from close range.

In the 98th minute we won a corner and endeavoured to keep the ball in the corner. However, Swindon broke and Butterworth unleased a long-range shot with 3 seconds of time added remaining. The ball crept include the left post for 1-1.

A valiant effort by the lads who were applauded off the pitch. We are in 3rd place on 10 points.

Attendance was 3,763 including 230 visiting fans.
