Chelsea date now confirmed as Tuesday 24th September

For all things Barrow AFC. Keep discussions civil and fair, we're all Barrow aren't we!

I think I may have misinterpreted the original post Adam!

I understood that it was being said that Barrow would take more to Chelsea than we did to Wembley or Sunderland or Borough, which I don’t think we will.

However if it’s being said that the overall attendance including home fans would be more than those games, I completely agree.

We shall see. 😀

We played in front of 44k the last time we played Chelsea….but this should be bigger than Wembley or Sunderland or Boro.
I would hope so but sadly I think being a midweek game will affect our support at the game esp as it’s on telly. Hope I’m wrong. Not being pessimistic but realistic.

Come on the Bluebirds!😀😀😀
Yes but the crowd isn’t just us though is it?

𝗢𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝟮𝟬𝟬𝟬 𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗸𝗲𝘁𝘀 𝘀𝗼𝗹𝗱!

We're pleased to announce that we've not sold over 2000 tickets for our trip to Chelsea later this month, so make sure you grab your tickets soon, as less than 1000 remain!

So tickets booked I’m staying in London after work and bringing a colleague (Arsenal supporter) so I hope we put on a show!

My advice for anyone travelling by train is avoid Fulham Broadway it will be ram packed, Earle’s Court tube - near where the away pubs are situated or West Bromford overground station (mixed pubs) and walk through the cemetery - this is closer to the stadium (15 min walk).

All the pubs around SB are home only.

I just hope we score and make a good account of ourselves; free hit this one and few quid in the coffers.

West Brompton rather than 'West Bromford'?

Walk through the cemetary? :? At night?
If you're referring to Brompton Cemetary it closes at 7pm. Better be quick! ;)
Hope the coaches drop us off near the Earls Court pubs - meeting a couple of lads down there - then ferry us to the stadium after drinkies. If not; it's the tube and a 15 min walk.

I'm sure I've read that coaches are going straight to the ground.

I imagine very few of our fans would be coming into West Brompton by Overground, coming as it does from north rather than central London. And if you go there by tube, it's still going to be rammed, since it's just one stop shy of Fulham Broadway on the same branch of the District line. I guess the advantage is, as you say, pubs, 'cos those around Chelsea's ground are reportedly pretty ropey and you wouldn't get in anyway.

But, anyway, when are the tickets being posted out? I know there's two weeks to go yet, but I'm still beginning to get twitchy and nailbitey!

Away coaches have to park on Imperial Road, about half a mile from the ground.

Arvo - there was a sign up on Saturday saying the tickets hadn’t arrived yet. I’m sure they’ll be sent as soon as they arrive.
