Clubs are now paid £8,000 for a group-stage win and £4,000 for a draw compared to the previous £10,000 and £5,000 on offer. Victory in the round of 32 is now worth £15,000, rather than £20,000, while progression from the round of 16 will earn £29,500, down from £40,000

The money dropped when there was no sponsor for the first 2 round of fixtures last season. But once BSM got involved the prize money went back up to normal

That’s annoying if they do. Bolton were in a similar position in the first group game and with Evatt under pressure they also played a strong side. I can’t make the earlier kick off so will be watching this one on Skyplus. Must admit I’ve been impressed with the Sky service so far this season.
