It was a game that was useful.
It highlighted our weaknesses .
We keep getting told we don't need one regular goal scorer as we have goals from other team members.
Where are they.?
Ask anyone how well we would have done without Quigley's goals, got us in the league and kept us there.

First half we had the majority of play but no goals which says it all.

You are right to many wet wipes who think constructive criticism is wrong and you should be a sycophant and paper over the cracks no doubt you thought the Titanic was unsinkable and it never sank but got lost in the Bermuda triangle.

People are having a dig at Stanway because his debut has come to early and he needs time.
Nothing about being a local just not good enough.at this moment, I was slagged off for saying Joel Dixon was not up to it. Where is he now?

Daniels should play in goal till Farman is back.

The forwards are pity full and we do need a centre forward ,for me Aquah is not up to it for a big lad he gets pushed off the ball to easily .
Telford for me is poor. and must be costing us a few quid.
Dallas and Gardner would do well laying the ball of for a proven striker.

Pass the wet wipes.
2 enough for you?
Can you get me the sensitive type as I’m delicate.
Certainly not a nothing game it was a chance to get a few match fitness and for others to build their confidence. We were doing so well until a mistake at the back hit us like a sledgehammer, we simply lost our way from there. Nobody wants anyone to fail but you have to come in ready and firing on all cylinders as there’s certainly no hiding place out there!

No football forum should be taken too seriously only banter most of the time ours is always good for a laugh and if any players do read on here can see them having a good laugh at all the experts giving them advice.

I have watched the Fleetwood game 'highlights' on YouTube . I was waiting to see the goalkeepers 'howlers' . I didn't see any.

He might have done a bit better with the 1st goal but the right back if anyone should have done much better. The keeper might want to use his hands a bit more than his feet and legs but as long as the ball stays out of the net I guess there isn't an issue.

The 2nd goal , what was he supposed to do? Took a massive loop hit the back post and went in. The 3rd goal a good finish into the far right corner from the attackers point of view.

It's ten times harder to be a keeper when it comes the scrutiny of errors , and multiply that by whatever factor you like for a 'Local keeper'. I have no affiliation to the Stanways and this is just my opinion view the evidence of the highlights shown. Not looking to score points or have an argument but have a good look at Fleetwood's video.

Nobody who is a supporter wants the lad to fail, particularly with him being local. But you play at that level you have to take the criticism as well as the plaudits, the first goal he failed to hold on to the ball,a fairly straightforward ball collection dive,he did exactly the same thing 2 minutes earlier but got away with it. He definitely needs coaching, repeat training in this area. My opinion.

Fair points....yes he can only get better with regular coaching. I'm not keen on this 'modern keeper' trying to playing it out, or punching, parrying the ball, how about catching it. Using their legs must be a last resort. I'm getting old.

Does forum comment of the week still make it’s way to the dartboard for shooting practice on the 20’s. If so could they move to the top right hand corner of the Holker End net😁

The defence in front of him left him exposed at times, but he has to be more vocal( pity canavan wasn't there),he got blamed on Saturday, don't agree there BUT hardly anyone critised the lack of defender's awareness in front of him it was a poor goal, last night the first wasn't good but the others had nothing to do with him ,no one mentions Vassell,s poor header that led to the third or that Neo's defending is erratic at times, if you look for errors you'll find them but I suppose if people have agenda's they'll only look at certain player's 😉

I think that net has been tangled since a storm last January.
They do not even raise the net at the Steel works end
Just say no to VAR :sentoff:

So to summarise; the keeper let three goals in, the forwards didn't score any goals at all and the others failed to influence the game sufficiently at either end. A bad night for our team then.

But heed these words naysayers: "Let he who is without sin cast the first scone"

Amen and have a nice day.
We will foller the soccer, over land and sea...
