We got off to a poor start giving a goal away early doors through Canavans mistake. After that we grew into the game and Dallas who worked his socks off up front and got his deserved goal through a Wimbledon mistake.
We started brightly in the second half and for me there was only one team going on to win until we switched off in defence. It was so unlike us as our defence has been on the whole great this season.
Kirk for his first league start I thought looked bright and Eccleston played well going forward. Gotts covered every blade of grass but a worrying performance for me came from Dean Campbell. Looked way off it today and was slow tracking back. Maybe having played nearly every game he needs a break.

Really soft goal last week, same at Carlisle, bad goal at Accrington, stupid penalty against Notts county ,poor goal against Morecambe, as for Kirk and Mahoney whilst good player's on the ball chasing down player's, running back non existent!
Campbell I mentioned this last week so Clemence plays him the other night, I also mentioned ages go we were short in midfield !, first 11 not bad squad full of wingers and not much more!, worrying times!

With 15 points dropped from our last winless six league games, we now lie in 12th place. Although still only three points off play-off places, it is a very congested middle of the table with only 6 points separating a dozen teams.

Our goal scoring difficulties came to haunt us again but today time Wimbledon managed to expose defensive frailties too. Only 1 minute 40 seconds in, Farman couldn’t hold a long-range Tilley shot and then Canavan's failure to clear gave Pigott a strike from close range into the net.

This early setback gave us a mountain to climb and although the effort and possession was there, we didn’t create many good chances. Goodman saved a Jackson shot from the left in the 12th minute, Ball firing over the bar at the other end a minute later. Seconds later, Newby shot wide and then Mahoney had an effort saved.

In the 27th minute, Pigott was booked for a foul on Campbell. Five minutes later, Kirk was carded for fouling Smith.

In the 36th minute, Barrow appeals for a penalty following a corner were waved away.

Two minutes later, Farman was in action, punching away a Tilley shot for a corner. Wimbledon had the ball in the net after the corner but the referee called out a foul in the box.

Suddenly, when it looked like the half would end goalless for Barrow, a defensive error by Wimbledon in the 44th minute enabled an unmarked Dallas to loop the ball from 20 yards over Goodman for 1-1.

Perhaps galvanised by the equaliser, we stepped up a gear and for the first 30 minutes of the second half looked most likely to take the lead. Wimbledon were struggling to keep the ball as we upped the pressure.

In the 53rd minute, Goodman made a good save from a Campbell long-range shot and two minutes later Kirk shot just over the bar.

At the other end, in the 64th minute, Farman punched away a Neufville shot for a corner. Meanwhile, Ball had been booked for a handball.

Barrow continued to press and, in the 69th minute, Goodman punched away a Jackson shot for a corner.

In the 72nd minute Wimbledon replaced Harbottle and Ball with Ogundere and Kelly. Four minutes later we were caught out defensively, Pigott heading onto a poorly marked Stevens who scored from close range. Still reeling from that further setback, we conceded again a minute later, Stevens firing from the right for his second to put the game outside our reach. Panic in the box both times caused by Wimbledon's incisiveness.

We might have clawed one back in the 80th minute had anyone been near the goal line to convert Mahoney’s dangerous cross. However, then Wimbledon won a corner from which Stevens fired just over Farman’s bar.

In the 82nd minute we made our only substitutions, Kouyate and Telford coming on for Kirk and Mahoney.

Our last effort on goal was from Newby in the 89th minute. He shot from the edge of the area to force a final save from Goodman.

Two minutes of extra time was only notable for Wimbledon’s Lewis being Carded for a foul on Telford.

Attendance was 3,227 including 175 visiting fans.

Clemence said he had 2 midfielders to pick from, then why was White released if he was never replaced. Not saying we should have kept White or not, that's beside the point but when you release a player you need to replace him with better and we simply didn't do that. Very bizarre

I guess crowds would drop but those figures are an odd way to make the case. Were they higher in between?

We can't keep changing managers.

It always goes crap for us. Part of the issue is the club has absolutely no structure. No junior teams, no under 18s, 21s an academy there is a disconnect between fans and club. There are clubs in the North West County have more structure than us.

I'm sure we won't go down or be in a relegation battle and we have some good players but this [SwearFilter] around football with one striker up front, strikers that don't score either. We never play to our strengths.

We need a formation change. Just 1 guy up front is no good. I heard someone today they have got 4 in the box. We only ever have 1 and that is if we are lucky

We weren't comprehensively beaten. We were the better team. A couple of rare defensive errors made the difference.
