Because that’s what we can afford; their owners have literally chucked in millions and they are bottom of the league (albeit they will eventually stay up comfortably) the wage bill alone at the moment must be up there as the most in the division

Re: January Signings?
Given the number of pros on their books the weekly wage bill at Carlisle will be over £100k a week IMO. Madness for a league 2 club.HenneysKnee wrote: ↑Mon Jan 13, 2025 7:45 pmBecause that’s what we can afford; their owners have literally chucked in millions and they are bottom of the league (albeit they will eventually stay up comfortably) the wage bill alone at the moment must be up there as the most in the division
Re: January Signings?
Not really arsed who anyone else is signing esp Carlisle! Every club has different budgets and some are buying to avoid the drop or to go up. As its stands I'm hoping our signings will help a depleted squad and keep us safe for another season then see where we go from there but we need a good run of results. Happy with additions so far. Possibly a couple more so we'll see who comes and goes.
Re: January Signings?
Strong rumour that Billy Waters is off to Oldham having left Halifax to return to Wrexham.Might put an end to a Dom Telford move to the Latics which would upset a few on here

Re: January Signings?
Do the loan signings of Duru and Pressley mean we will not be keeping Ecclestone and Dallas on loan?

Ecclestone and popov will go back
Re: January Signings?
Dallas has been returned to Barnsley. Always put a shift in, just wasn’t quite at the level needed. Thanks for your efforts, Andy.

Agreed. Hope we have someone else coming in as out of Garner, Dallas, and Telford, I’d play Dallas every time.HenneysKnee wrote: ↑Wed Jan 15, 2025 2:20 pmCan see him getting a few goals if he ends up going elsewhere in this league on loan

Best of a very poor trio but not good enough. Will never score many goals in EFL football.WillBAFC wrote: ↑Wed Jan 15, 2025 2:26 pmAgreed. Hope we have someone else coming in as out of Garner, Dallas, and Telford, I’d play Dallas every time.HenneysKnee wrote: ↑Wed Jan 15, 2025 2:20 pm

Re: January Signings?
Needed to get some loanees sent back as only allowed a limited number in match day squad so no point holding on to them all if we can’t play them and we’ve replaced both Eccleston and Dallas with other loan players.
Re: January Signings?
You'd have a hard case justifying extending either loan any further to be honest.
Popular side since '03.
Re: January Signings?
Everyone asking if we are replacing Dallas? Didn't we sign a striker from Stevenage last week ? Is that not his replacement?
