Today at Swindon was dire. What were those tactics and how come he waited so long to change it when everyone could see it was working. Everyone except the head coach that is.
Questions need to be answered about why we lost Pete Wild. Do you think the bod but too much stock into Ian Wood? I remember a few
years ago the club did the same with Paul Cox's scout Paul Ogden. They thought he was the Messiah because he recommended a couple of good players. Hello also recommended By Badley Bauress. I rest my case. If I remember rightly he was put above Paul Cox as a kind of director of football and rightly so Cox walked. Is this what happened with Wild? I believe if Pete had stayed he would eventually have got it right, we will however never know.
We have been bottom of the League 2 form table now for a number of weeks and can you really see us beating the likes of Carlisle and Morecambe with Clemence in charge? No, me neither!

Re: Clemmence out
Fair play to the board: sacked
Re: Clemmence out
Credit where its due to board in acting whilst times still in our hands. The situation is untenable. Not one sign of improvement and losing to teams in and around us. I like Clemence and think he seems a good bloke who wanted to progress in the game but it just wasn’t happening.
Woods also to blame for this mess and if we do survive this season I think we need to look ahead into restructuring, I don’t see how a man with no footballing background apart from representing players has so much say in running of the club

Let’s get right behind Jason Taylor’s bluebirds on Saturday

Virtually same side that for the last 2 years just ended out of the play offs.
Does he coach them?????
Were you saying this before Chelsea?
Re: Clemmence out
The fact we are still doing players dealings via Wood, whilst giving Clemence the boot within a week of some major player decisions, shows the set up with a SD at work.
Still searching for the Young Soul Rebels

Re: Clemmence out
Wood is there due to the lack of football knowledge amongst the board of directors who are first and for most business menJonty wrote: ↑Sat Jan 18, 2025 10:24 pm The fact we are still bringing in players via Wood, whilst giving Clemence the boot within a week of some major player decisions, shows the set up with a SD at work.
The direction and vision for the football club is set, the coach is there to coach and get the best out of the players.
Wild wasn’t comfortable with it so decided to seek opportunities elsewhere after taking a break thanks to a pay off from us.Its a question as to wetherany incoming head coach would be happy with the same set up
Re: Clemmence out
Must have stopped at Hilton Park services Birmingham and told him to make his own way home lol

When the going. Gets tough etc etc.It is NOW the team really needs the fans not to be fickle.I suppose when those that play with wrong shape ball go through a bad patch and we recover our mojo with whoever is in charge you will come crawling back wearing your scarf and declaring your love for the bluebirds.?SayitagainSam wrote: ↑Sat Jan 18, 2025 6:55 pmMy protest began a month ago via my wallet by not attending home games and since then spending my time and money at Craven Park, the other professional Barrow outfit, a team the town can be proud of, who play entertaining rugby, who score every game - 58 points today - who win games, who give fans something to cheer about and most importantly for my wife's sakes, I come home happy with a smile on my face. Going to Holker St. the opposite has been true since October.Rushy wrote: ↑Sat Jan 18, 2025 6:27 pm Evatt and Sam Hird for me.
The board can't risk relegation after all they've done for the club.
I don't care if he's a nice guy our fans deserve better. He just told Adam that he won't walk so he's basically telling the board to make a decision.
Evatt knew how to motivate and build a united club with everyone pulling together. We need that perfect storm again.
Make it happen.
Fan protest needed at next home match if nothing happens in between times.

Were I saying this before we went to Stamford bridge sitting top of the league (and looking good for it)? Of course I wasn’t, that would have been stupid.Louis29 wrote: ↑Sat Jan 18, 2025 10:09 pmCan I ask how is Wood to blame?bhbb wrote: ↑Sat Jan 18, 2025 9:21 pm Credit where its due to board in acting whilst times still in our hands. Fast forward 4 months and 3 wins in 21 games, one being against villas u12 squad and with no visible signs of improvement and regression in every single area on the pitch I am saying he needed to go, absolutely diabolical.
Quick glance of the squad I reckon woods made around 14 additions including loans from last season, I can’t think of one that’s had a positive impact apart from Jackson who looked class start of the year but has gone off the boil big time. I think he’s taken too many gambles on young kids and they haven’t been anywhere near up to scratch

Yeah any adult team should beat 11 year olds.bhbb wrote: ↑Sat Jan 18, 2025 11:15 pmWere I saying this before we went to Stamford bridge sitting top of the league (and looking good for it)? Of course I wasn’t, that would have been stupid.

More seriously Vassell has made a positive impact in my view. Personally I think Stanway has been more steady than Farman as well.
