Next Head Coach?

Jason Taylor interim Manager please. Will get this lot kicking and fighting like he used to as a player. Short term until a permanent manager /coach isfound.

Not so sure. He’s served the club well but think we need to go down a whole new route.

Whoever it is must absolutely not lower expectations in the way some have previously. I dread another “well we’re Barrow, we’ll give it a go, see how we get on, …but don’t expect too much”

Why down a different route?
Not saying you are wrong but Clemence was a Premier league Number 2, Wild a non league play off manager and Evatt an unproven ex manager.
Looking at that what isn’t to say Tayls is the right fit???
Bit of Spit, Sawdust and Grit is what we need and that is how he played. Give him one game and see the response….will be interesting to see what happens

Remember how Daz and Dave turned things round after a manager was sacked.

Don't know if he has opted out of the management game (three years since his last appointment) but Paul Cox would be a good shout. 44% win rate at Mansfield and similar with us.Always sounds extremely knowledgeable when co-commentating on RC and will have picked up a good insight to most of the squad from this.

If he puts himself forward without hesitation thats a good sign. Not sure if being a coach and then Head Coach over the same players works well because the dynamic changes. I listened to Dunn interview once and he said when he was suddenly thrust into the role of temp Head coach after a sacking (might have been Oldham) it took a bit of adjusting, but he was still a player at that time. Not saying that would be the case if Taylor was asked to step up, everyone manages situations differently and you’re right, maybe he's the solution right under the nose.

In my view the board have made Iain Wood CEO as it takes pressure off themselves for the day to day stuff on and now off the field and to try and eliminate some of the past mistakes made by themselves. I can’t see that changing any time soon but he has to carry some of the responsibility for this seasons predicament. As for Pete Wild that ship has well and truly sailed.

Pete Wild would always have moved on like he did from Halifax, and the back end of last season was dreadful. I'd rather have Ben Whitfield of those two seasons back.
