Yeah the good lad model didn't work for us. Softest team on the league. Let's hope it has the same effect at fleetwood.Big_Bluebird wrote: ↑Tue Jan 21, 2025 5:51 pm Deffo not a “good lad” so can’t see wild signing him as he says he only signs good lads

Don’t agree at all. We were a good team until the last two or three months when something happened to cause Wild to throw in the towel for a reason we will probably never know.Rushy wrote: ↑Wed Jan 22, 2025 12:56 pmYeah the good lad model didn't work for us. I disagree, too. How often have we heard players enthuse in the last few years about what a good squad Barrow have to be part of.
Taking on someone with potential who might have the temperament that would cause discord in the squad would not be wise.

Fair play to the board spending money; good experienced signing that we needed in there

Top signing.
Re: January Signings?
Additions seem like good signings, whats that 3 defenders, 2 midfielders and 2 strikers this month ?
Wouldn't be shocked if we see some out goings now

Re: January Signings?
Listening to the Barrow Social last night (a lot more positive) there was a mention of Jack Stevens. Looks like a decent prospect, followed Andy from Banbury to Solihull, good goals and assists stats. Possibility? Would cost us and Solihull would no doubt be gutted to lose him.Maybe one for the Summer window or stay at Solihull for remainder of season with agreement to join us then?

Again; it will depend if we can get rid of Garner and/or Telford, can’t see we will sign another striker whilst both of them are still here.theotherbarrow wrote: ↑Thu Jan 23, 2025 9:11 pm Listening to the Barrow Social last night (a lot more positive) there was a mention of Jack Stevens. Acquah/Pressley and Tyler Smith as a strike partnership should in theory be grand, and that’s if we even play two strikers……
