That just proves how unprofessional as a club we are ,thought Dave was a great ambassador for Barrow, but ( hopefully) we are and EFL club let's act like one!

We are a community club and as such need to be seen to be participating in community events and Dave Day is probably the biggest so imo we need to be seen to be part of it.
Unless the club were serious about a total pitch upgrade that would take the full pre season to complete I don’t see a problem
By Paul Hornbys own admission £50k was set aside for pitch renovation last summer. To totally renovate the pitch and i mean totally I’d imagine your looking at over half a million pounds possibly a lot more and that would be to the detriment of the playing budget no doubt.
Until we get some serious new investment on top of what the current owners put in the pitch is what it is. FWIW Salfords pitch is much worse than ours and has been for a number of years and that’s with the finances their owners have Carlisle undoubtedly have the best surface in league two following serious investment many years ago. I remember that renovation took a whole summer to complete as they lay the pipes for undersoil heating at the time but stopped short of installing the heating required to complete the job.

I agree 100%. Doncaster are the exception in league 2 not the norm. We won’t and haven’t played a better side all season. Put a line through it and on to Newport. Five more wins and we will be fine

I don't see why people think the pitch is a factor in results going against us. Doncaster were passing better than us and a lawn would have suited them. I think the pitch and weather also stopped Fleetwood playing their normal passing game.

Spot on-too much over analysis-beaten by a far, far better side and its as simple as that.

If Newport beat us by better football you will be correct in assuming no dissecting from me. I might have a comment mind ya.

I and a few others went last night, it was freezing etc, I think it's only right that we can critise and put a point across, I'm sure a lot on here don't even go !

Don't get me wrong criticism is warranted in some games but last night you just have to hold your hands up acknowledge the opponents were way better than us and move on.

Doncaster might be a much better team and Molyneux has always been a handful going back to his Hartlepool days, but it wasn’t good football that beat us. More us beating ourselves by conceding horrendous goals. No matter who we play if we defend like that we’re in trouble whether it’s Swindon or Doncaster.

Don't normally agree with Pedro's views but he is spot on in his last post. Think Farman has not fully recovered from his injury and is not playing that well at present. I think this manager looks OK but will take time to get things in place so perhaps the board may have dithered too long in making their decision about Clemence. However, it is too easy for us to type such things on a keyboard there would have been a whole host of factors at play before that decision was made. We need to get the balance of the defence right though as however is the keeper he cannot be blamed for all the goals we've conceded. The amount of individual defensive errors this season is staggering. Think we might be looking at the market again before the window shuts to get one more in to bolster the defence. Must get something at Newport but they will be thinking the same - they have a gigantic centre forward I've noticed so he needs to be dealt with.

Got to say I'm finding this a very stressful season it's hard to believe when we played Newport off the park last September we went top of the league! I think they were up there also at the time. Think we will be OK but not 100% certain.

Agree with most on last night, gifted a much better team far too many chances. Far from alarm bell times but I watched the last half hour of Carlisle Tuesday and thought they were very unlucky not to get something. I think with ten new signings they'll be comfortable playing half as well as they did against a good Notts side. I'd say 5 points clear of tranmere is the one to keep an eye on over Carlisle as much as I hate to say it. 3 points Saturday and all will be rosy again

Despite the “Great Escape” rhetoric Radio Cumbria were coming out with after their win Saturday, it’s the end of January and Carlisle are odds against to be relegated (which they definitely won’t imho) which tells a story. As you say Tranmere, plus Newport and Harrogate are the ones those teams in and around us have to be looking at staying clear of
