Fair play to Wood this January; got plenty stick for the signings this summer (mostly rightly) but we’ve signed some crackers this time around

Think there's a number of factors involved!

Surely it’s a bit of defensive cover, can’t see anywhere else on the field that hasn’t been strengthened

Agree, but can’t help thinking the Feely move is a precursor to something else. Be good to get rid of some of the underperforming front players and add another effective striker. The upgrade on Saturday with Elvis and Smith has already made a huge difference.

Looks like Garner and Telford aren't in favour with the new manager as not in previous 2 squads. Could be an interesting last couple of days in the transfer window as I do feel we need another front man if these 2 aren't in the plans !

If we are going forward with this formation you could add Mahoney to that list as well.

Personally think we need another centre back and then just use Cameron as cover; and a quick striker to rotate with Smith alongside the big lads

Even Whing said the wingbacks didn't do enough ( I rest my case!😂 ), we need another pacey striker because Smith doesn't look anywhere near fit but we also don't bring him into the game enough and I think he loses interest but I can't blame him for that it must be so frustrating playing up front for us !

Definitely lost to a much better team last night. They defended better, passed the ball much better in midfield and their attacking players were far superior.
I just cannot understand why any team who has played against Doncaster previously doesn't put a player to do nothing else but mark Molyneux. Even before the match started my son and I talked about him being the main danger. He always is and if you mark him out the game you stop the main danger.
Our manager may not have seen him play before but there must be people on the staff who have.
Certainly Jason Taylor will have and many of the players also.
I sometimes wonder if some of these people have any concept of tactics!

Mahoney needs to go regardless of formation. People criticise Telford and Garner and rightly so, but this guy has been stealing a living from us. Bottled a 50/50 with the Bradford keeper the other week and two more yesterday. His Swindon cameo showed what he can do, run, dribble and can pick a good pass but nowhere near enough. That Harrogate penalty sums him up. Two year contract though what mug is going to take that on. He'll be playing Evo stick in a couple of years wondering where it all went wrong...

Cameron I recall from the Notts County game last season looked a bit nervy when put under pressure when we finally did do that against them at home last season. No better than Stokes going by last night's performance maybe even worse! We may be better going 4 at the back but then we've got no widemen if we're not going to deploy wingbacks.

In a couple of days time we have to name our squad of 22 (plus U21s) don't we? and we have more than that on the books so it'll be interesting to see who's in and who's kicking their heels.
Don't let the old man in.

Mahoney has been a big disappointment especially for a player who on the 9 July 2019, signed for Millwall on a long-term contract for a fee of £1,100,000

There must be a player there but I don't think has shown it for Barrow in a single game.

Just because you pay a big transfer fee for a player doesn't make him a good player, not just Barrow but many Clubs especially in the Premier League signing very average players for millions, Mahoney is another average player who is on a decent wage and doing little to earn it, we will probably sign many more next season and the players will gladly take a easy wage.
