Can't see us winning away at Crewe so "if" bottom few clubs pick up points the gap could be 8 points then we play Carlisle and what are the chances they beat us !!!!! We still have all the bottom clubs to play so picking up points esp against them is vital !

well, 'if' we don't beat Crewe and as you say, the bottom clubs pick up points, then I think its a case of planning for national league football next season because you can guarantee what's going to happen to us on thursday february 27th, especially after Gillingham have been blown away this coming saturday.
The collapse in the second half yesterday could well manifest again when panic sets in if the table gets down to around a three point cushion.

Just to be clear, Carlisle have to win 5 more games than us, just to get level on points, Morecambe have to win 4 more than us to overtake us, and Tranmere need 3 more. If we win any more games, their task gets tougher (even if we draw, it is another nail in someone’s coffin). Our goal difference is massively superior to all of their’s. Looking at it that way, a win yesterday would have made it almost certain that we were safe (at 2-0, with positive goal difference).

Don’t panic, we will be fine.

I'm sure that if the CUFC wanted to kick off at 3'clock the police would accommodate that wish.
It'll be the decision of some Carlisle supporting asshole within Cumbria police.

Our first home league game of the season against Barrow has also been selected. This game will now kick-off at the earlier time of 12.30pm and will be shown on Sky Sports+.

I can virtually guarantee that not giving us extra tickets, has absolutely nothing to do with Carlisle United or Barrow FC, but more likely to do with Cumbria Police.
Which when you think about it is a bit strange.
1.Most of the original 900 or so will have gone to season ticket holders, which are highly unlikely to cause any problems (for fear of having their season ticket confiscated)
2.They actually went on general sale, (which is unusual for this fixture)
3. Its on a work/school day of the week
4. Its 'live' on Sky, so anybody without a ticket are highly unlikely to travel!!

I dont think that we as Barrow fans get much out of this kind of debate which is more about "oneupmanship" than honest opinion. If I were Carlisle I would be very much focused on Gillingham atm rather than next week. Contributions from the north to this thread seem to think that Gillingham will get splattered by a resurgent Carlisle. I don't necessarily see it that way especially as Gillingham need the points themselves and since losing at HS have managed to secure some points.

Spot on. After Gillingham,s last trip far North to Holker Street John Colman tore a strip of his side in public and im sure he will be reminding his players of that day and what he said and will be emphasising to his players that under no circumstances does he want a repeat of the last time they came to Cumbria. He will have them fired up.
