Couldn't ask for better playing conditions, but nippy but clear and no wind..perfect for a football storm!

Just go at em from the off, get the hard tackles in, show some passion and the fans will be right behind the lads!

Let's finally send them home with no points, it has to.happen today!

However, Carlisle rank alongside Harrogate and, in the past, Fylde as a 'bogey' side. Added to that, our dismal record against clubs at the bottom of the league and I have to admit to feeling apprehensive myself. It promises to be a dour affair and not pretty to watch.
Don't think it will dour at all! They have to go for it simple as so will be an open game.

Why do Carlisle have to go for it a point would be a decent point for them, have you seen Tranmere lately now that is a poor side, people expecting Barrow to swipe away Carlisle might be surprised by them tonight it's going to be a very difficult night for us and a draw would be a good outcome.

We don't have a good record against Carlisle but we do have against Mark Hughes team.

But Carlisle have to at least pass both Tranmere & Morecambe to survive.

No better chance than this to beat them. Get into them from the off, get them beat, send them down.

Did anybody watch the recent documentary about the strikers who have played for Wales?
I watched the one which focused on Mark Hughes. Talk about grit, strength, and determination! And an eye for the goal throughout his career!
I'm not sure if the people backing Carlisle have contacts within the TV industry but how inspirational that must have been for any young players watching. And certainly for the Carlisle team! What a great idea for the Carlisle BOD to have that screened shortly before their fixture with us. If the Carlisle players watched that they'll be totally fired up for tonight's encounter and infused with desire and determination to please their Gaffer.

However, both teams lack attacking prowness up front. And we haven't had a decent striker since Quigley. Therefore, I can't see many goals being scored. I think a penalty will settle it.

I'm UNITED through and through and therefore have a soft spot for 'Sparky' :D I think the Cumbrians might just steal the points.

3 things we can put to bed tonight:
-long overdue a big performance in front of a big home crowd,
-managing to beat a side at the bottom of the table,
-finally beating Carlisle.

How much more motivation do these players need?

A win would be great but regardless of result I would just like the boys to put on a performance and as long as they leave it all on the pitch I’ll have no complaints.

Come let’s make some noise for the Bluebirds.

I don’t understand your motives for coming on here cos everything you post is complete and utter shite. Why don’t you go elsewhere and be a nuisance.
