From that little lot, it's good to know that amongst our ranks we have, I believe, the only English footballer ever to score the winning goal in not one but TWO European Cup Finals (European Champions League Finals). It's easy, isn't it? And I'll give you a clue, it wasn't Colin Cowperthwaite. Cowps might have done a lot but he never did that.

Billy McAdams retired from football in 1968, having played 40 games in our promotion season the year before, although he had a brief stint in non-league with Netherfield. He remained in Barrow and was briefly joint manager in 1977 after Ron Yeats left suddenly in mid season. He was struck down with ME in the 1990s hence the benefit game against a Manchester City XI in July 1993.He had played for City in the 1950s scoring 62 goals in 127 appearances .His career was blighted by injury mainly back problems. He was a Northern Ireland international and once scored a hatrick against Germany (they lost 4-3!) but missed the 1958 World Cup through injury. He also missed two FA cup finals through injury. He died in Barrow in 2002 following a short battle with cancer aged 68.

That would be Jardim. The darling of BBC online. He hasn’t looked remotely capable of managing that side and is always good for a rose tinted quote.

The plight of both Morecambe and Carlisle has rather shoved the bat sh1t crazy club that is Newport County to the edge of our collective consciousness.

This is team that has had relegation stamped all over them since the start of the season. Until that is for a brief period when they put together an unlikely run of 5-6 back-to-back wins in mid season which proved to be their saving grace. They have slowly declined since then just keeping their collective heads above water.
With an odd point here or there.

I don’t think that is the aim btw, but the way this season panned out after the league cup tie the board had to act to protect our EFL status. Carlisle and Tranmere both hung on for a good few more matches before swinging the axe but it’s all come too late for one of these big hitters.

Well spotted, Arvo! The ultra-woke computing VAR have landed a red card where no foul whatsoever was committed. I mean, the poor fella had to live his entire life bearing a surname which apparently screamed "swear filter" every time it was mentioned. Is it any wonder he passed away rather too young, he'd probably had enough of the nonsense. The 'Alan swear filter' is of course - - - as if you hadn't already worked it out - - - Alan Surichard. I trust it's clear now! And add an extra 'd' in the middle if it's still not apparent who it is!

N.B. I managed to take measures to ensure Richard Robinson got through safely but I didn't see the problem coming with Alan Surichard. Crazy world is this that we live in now . . .

There appears to be someone genuinely missing from the list. I've counted them several times to be sure and there is definitely a hundred, However we appear to have two Peter Farrells though I can only ever remember one.

We keep just surviving.Rob Kelly saved us.
Andy Whing is still learning his trade but hopefully a mid table position next year at minimum.
We will be building a new team next season.
Players may move on to better things only time will tell..
A must is two forwards and another midfielder.
Gotts has been very good this season I hope he stays
