Trust Membership
Trust Membership
Any one else had an email to say their trust membership has been cancelled ? I have life membership from when the trust bought their stake in the club
The "Individual Adult Trust Membership" plan has been canceled. Is this actual membership or the annual 1901 membership ?

Re: Trust Membership
Details regarding this were sent out in the Trust newsletter this week. To cut a long story short, membership is increasing to £15 and they can't just up people's subscription fee, so all renewals are being cancelled and everyone will have to sign up again.

Re: Trust Membership
Im not sure you should need to renew if you have a life membership but it does say they will be in touch again before the renew date of July 1st so perhaps the issue of updating life memberships will be covered in that update.

Didn't know there was a newsletter. Never ever received one

Re: Trust Membership
Taken from the Trust Newsletter;
Membership Information
This for information only, you cannot renew until 1st July 2025
As a result of the almost unanimous positive feedback in the survey, we will be increasing the membership fee from 1st July and the new membership year to £15 for adults and £5 for Under 16s.
While any increase is unwelcome, we have to balance the need to meet our financial obligations to the other owners of the club against the limited range of income streams we have available to us. This is the first increase in prices in 11 years and we have delayed it as long as we could.
EVERYONE will need to renew manually this year. Those who had previously set up renewing subscriptions will also have to renew manually as we are not allowed to increase the price for a current subscription. Therefore, all previous subscriptions at the old prices will shortly be cancelled.
We do not intend to increase the membership fee again for the medium/long term, so new renewing subscription options will be available for those who require them.
Memberships for the new membership year will be available to buy from 1st July and we will be in touch again before then with more information

Re: Trust Membership
As far as I’m aware your life membership stays for LIFE. Everyone that got that privilege was given the option to continue to pay their yearly contribution. That is the bit you are given the option to renew.
I’m sure there will be a bit more clarity when the Trust guys digest what’s on here.

Re: Trust Membership
Apologies everyone for all the confusion. Unfortunately there is no simple way of altering the prices for various different categories of membership for 1100+ people and it is taking a lot of sorting out. Quite rightly the payment system we use doesn't allow us to just increase the price of a subscription someone is on. If it did, you would be able to change a £10 subscription to £1000 and the subscriber would have no way of stopping this.
As we need to change our pricing structure the only way to manage this change is to cancel all the previous subscriptions and invite you to sign up again if you wish to.
For those who have not seen the update sent out in the email, I've posted the relevant bit of the newsletter at https://bluebirdstrust.co.uk/membership-update/
If you aren't subscribed to the newsletter you can do so by completing the form at the bottom of our home page and you'll be included for the next one. https://bluebirdstrust.co.uk/
As always, if you haven't got it and you think you should have check your spam folders first, if it not there, ask yourself have you previously unsubscribed from our mailing list?
Ok, on to the queries raised above:
Life Members of the Trust: You remain Life members and always will be, this has not been cancelled, just the annual subscription on the membership page to allow you to book travel etc. Life members will need to sign up again for this and will be issued a code as in previous seasons to apply in the discount field on the form so that you are not charged. Any questions, please email info@bluebirdstrust.co.uk
Sambino, 1901 membership is entirely separate to Trust Membership. The 1901 Club is going to be launched in mid July this summer, running until the end of August as usual. Again, more details nearer the time.
AFC Blue, Methuselah Please sign up using the instructions above if you wish to. Any problems please email info@bluebirdstrust.co.uk
We are aware of a problem with Yahoo email addresses rejecting email sent by the payment provider on our behalf so members using that email provider will not have received the cancellation notice. We are working with Ste to find a solution to this.
Further information will be sent out by email and posted on the website on or just before the renewal date of July 1st.
You cannot join or renew until July 1st so please be patient and do not worry that you have not been sent further information yet.
Any questions not covered above, please let us know on info@bluebirdstrust.co.uk

Re: Trust Membership
Sounds rather complicated and complex for yourselves. You do an excellent job and I’m sure everyone like myself appreciates it. Personally think I’d make the u18s £15 or at least £10, they certainly get incredible reduction on travel, something again I would increase. Keep up the great work.

Thanks for clarifying everything raised.
