Very positive for the town and it showed it's best face. A bit like Dave by all accounts.

I don't think given the season timing we could have bikers on the pitch and that's the only way it could be a money spinner was with the pitches IMHO.

I wonder how well the Sunday did, as many will head back off I guess. Therefore that turnout was probably all right. Nothing would induce me to attend a Celebrity Football Game and motor vehicles of any kind are beyond my ken or care but it's all in a good cause and each to their own and all that.

Should we cash in on a charity day? Probably not, no.

Should we have stuff on sale anyway, for Father’s Day, holiday season etc etc. Yes, we should. Unless of course the margins/minimum order quantities etc don’t make commercial sense? Dunno.

Listening to the pod cast, it was mentioned Rickie Lambert last played against us during a 2-3 win for Bristol?, presume it’s this game ? Where he came on as a sub. Piled on a few pounds but still got a decent touch yesterday, think he scored 4 or something.

I believe that our club received complimentary comments from people organising the event re the assistance we gave in relation to the football match.To my mind that is good enough.It is to raise money for charities after all.Yes it’s nice if the town businesses make some money but bikers are not cash cows and as has been said have forked out on travel and accommodation etc.We are restricted as to pitch events .The event had quite enough opportunists with stalls trying to make a few quid.Dont think Dave’s connection to afc Barrow warrants more exploitation to be honest.
