It’ has nothing to do with who is preferred to who in. Particular role it’s about what’s been published in the public domain about our current “General Manager” it’s not a good read and not a good look for the club. Like I said if the nationals get hold of the story they will have a field day. The headlines could make things awkward for the club. Better to act now either by issuing a statement of support with reasons why or release him from his post imoBarrowLad71 wrote: ↑Thu Jul 03, 2025 3:23 pm Done wrong and ultimately will be humiliated for the rest of his life and ruined his policing career and many relationships no doubt.
However I’d rather have him in the role he is at the club. Knowing he who is a reasonable fella in his working capacity , willing to engage , willing to listen and willing to take criticism than that absolute idiot Alisha Henry.
He does not just ban fans , he gives chance after chance and I have seen this throughout his work.

For those demanding a sacking, employment law is designed to protect the employee and, probably, the only legal grounds for dismissal would be a failure to disclose a material fact when applying for the job. Only the Board will know whether that is the case.

The club made their choice when they took him on. You don’t think he just left the police out of the blue and turned up as a ground safety manager on the Monday without eye brows being raised do you?Main Stand SeasonTct wrote: ↑Thu Jul 03, 2025 3:43 pmIt’ has nothing to do with who is preferred to who in. The club will not have known the full facts of we what we now all know now following the misconduct hearing If they did I would find it impossible to believe they would have employed him let alone made him general manager.BarrowLad71 wrote: ↑Thu Jul 03, 2025 4:54 pmThe club made their choice when they took him on. After reading the full transcript of the hearing if you think the club knew all that has been published this week and then agreed to take him on in a prominent role as he is now you must be very nieve.beachy01 wrote: ↑Thu Jul 03, 2025 5:34 pmHow do u know what the club did or didnt know?Main Stand SeasonTct wrote: ↑Thu Jul 03, 2025 4:58 pm

Re: Rickie Wallbank OUT
The club will have to review this appointment.
I doubt he will have disclosed why he was leaving the police force as I would think the club would have steered clear.
Having said that they did appoint Jolly who managed to circumnavigate the system.
Due process needs to follow.
Given his high profile at the club things need to clarified
As Amber Rudd once said of Boris Johnson I would not want him to walk my daughter home.
All protocols need to be followed including if this pending case was withheld from the interview panel.

Since he joined the club, and before, when he was a bobby at matches, he always seemed fine.
Unfortunately these instances set out in the misconduct findings show him in a very different light, with a dark and unacceptable side.
I wouldn’t feel happy with the club giving him a vote of confidence, because quite honestly I don’t think he deserves one.
If the club just ignores what’s happened, they shouldn’t be surprised if at some stage there will be negative publicity.
To repeat, I always found him ok, but hand on heart I wouldn’t want him to have anything to with my female relatives.
Re: Rickie Wallbank OUT
Give the lad a break.
He let me off once when he was still working for the filth. It was a cold winters evening, you know how it is when you’ve had 6 pints of worthy’s and then stood in the cold watching a game for 2 hours. I was in 2 minds if to have a [SwearFilter] before I left the ground. I didn’t as thought I could make it to the tally ho. I quickly knew I wouldnt make it and I was having a [SwearFilter] near the reservoir steps. He came over with his torch and joked about the size of my cock, saying something like he’s not seen one which needed two hands to hold it for a while or something like that, I think he was impressed regardless.
He told me to hurry up and get going, typically it was one of them horse [SwearFilter] which never ends. To be fair he could have been a jobsworth but he let me off.
Maybe some on here should let him off. It’s not like none of us have never sent a [SwearFilter] up [SwearFilter] pic. Or in my case to your mates mam in error.
