If only! :D Quality!

I remember the two he scored at Bristol Rovers when we dumped them them out of the FA Cup in our Non League days.

Looked like something off Strictly, two guys dancing around a bit in the area bit of pushy shovey and the big guy gets his ribs tickled at best. Then makes a huge song and dance about coming off second best. Both should face elimination in a dance off. As Ethel Mermen said Let’s get on with the Show.

That’s the abridged version the FA will have no doubts used.

Looks like Whitfield standing his ground with the Fleetwood number 4 shoved him in the back with no doubt some words in his ear as well. That’s the dark arts right there. Provoking a reaction and making a meal of it.
See more going on unpunished at corners, grabbing, holding shoving etc, but of course that is seemingly allowed.

Shirt pulling too Jonty now seems to be part of the game that referees allow.

What happened to football being a non-contact game?

Whitfield shouldn't have reacted, though he was clearly pushed in the back. In context of his reaction you would hope that has been fairly considered?, but yes, we see more going on at corners with players almost wrestling and nothing gets given.

He shouldn't have done it, but the Fleetwood player was a cheat.

Yes I believe so
No - the EFL trophy has its own separate disciplinary rules so he would be available to play in that game but would miss the next three league games

"IF" PW felt he was forced to leave our club because of disagreements and interference into his role as Manager, then perhaps his actions - if it was him - on Saturday can be understood. I don't condone it but understand it, but surely the real transgressor is Whitfield for allowing himself to be drawn into it in the tunnel. Surely as Captain he should have known better. Perhaps we should be looking for a new captain!

Wilds interview pre last Saturdays game on the Fleetwood website was an interesting watch. He was asked about his time at Barrow and it was obvious to see he is still very very bitter in how it all ended and went on to say that with a couple of additions he would have had us in. the top three last season had he stayed as our manager.
