Re: Rob Kelly.
I think this is a great move by the club, everyone of us could see this was getting to Whingy he's taking everything to heart and I honestly think he wouldn't have been able to take much more that's not being disrespectful but sometimes you need an older head to put everything into perspective!, I feel much better now !

But we haven’t and an ideal opportunity has arisen at an ideal time.Hitthebar22 wrote: ↑Wed Sep 10, 2025 10:09 am Can’t help feeling that if we’d e.g. 9 more points than we have, Kelly wouldn’t be on his way back.
Not a time to over analyse. A time for everyone to knuckle down and dig deep until the reinforcements are out of the sick bay. Confidence all over needs building.

I'm not sure he would have returned if he felt he was being used in the manner you suggest.blue blue boy wrote: ↑Wed Sep 10, 2025 9:34 am Not entirely sure how I would feel about that appointment if I was AW not exactly sounding like a supportive endorsement from the BoD. Does feel like he's being a bit undermined to me and like others have said it does mean someone in the wings to take his job should it go pear shaped (not saying its right or wrong by the way just an observation)
Spot on.
I don't think it's in Rob's nature to be anything other than supportive and willing to help a younger coach.

Re: Rob Kelly.
Good that flag out and let's get up the league(s) ! Great news
Re: Rob Kelly.
He didn't like that flag........
Re: Rob Kelly.
No self respecting modest person would.
Maybe air it once as a welcome back to Rob held aloft by the supporters.
It’s served its purpose and should the National Football Museum require it then that should be its next and final home.

Re: Rob Kelly.
What a great appointment, think Whingy has lost his way a bit with setting up the team. Rob Kelly is just the man to settle things down and get some of these players firing as they are more than capable. Welcome Rob.

Re: Rob Kelly.
Putting that flag on display now would undermine Andy Whing's confidence, imho.
Don't let the old man in.

Re: Rob Kelly.
Everyone needs to forget about the flag and get right behind the Bluebirds, just imho
Re: Rob Kelly.
The conspiracy theories doing the rounds on here and on social media would make sense if Kelly hadn't reiterated numerous times that he had no interest being a head coach or manager.

Never go back thinking it will take you forward. Rob is a lovely bloke but I don’t see the fit with Whing.which suggests that this is a decision imposed.
Feels like somebody is running scared atm so I don’t feel as happy as many others do. There are more red flags appearing at the club than on a windy beach. Hope I’m wrong

Whatever manager and coaches are brought in, I'm afraid the players we have are just not good enough.

Yes and no whing comes across ( lately) of lacking belief in what he's saying, Rob Kelly always came across as focused on what he had to do whatever " noise " was around him !russell_anderson wrote: ↑Wed Sep 10, 2025 2:49 pm Whatever manager and coaches are brought in, I'm afraid the players we have are just not good enough.

Not very supportive. I agree. Doesn't exactly instill confidence into our manager.blue blue boy wrote: ↑Wed Sep 10, 2025 9:34 am Not entirely sure how I would feel about that appointment if I was AW not exactly sounding like a supportive endorsement from the BoD. Can't blame everything on AW. The players must accept part of the blame. The current bunch don't seem up to the task of keeping is in Div 2.
