Interesting that this is the same formation that the next former manager of Man UTD Ruben Amorim is putting out.
Its not working there either

This must be Bristol's easiest half of the season.
Regarding formation - if Whing refuses to play full backs we need to change to 4-3-3 at half time

Woeful half it could easily be more. Can't wait for us to score another consolation goal with 5 minutes to go so the interviews can tell us we never stopped trying and are nearly where we want to be

4th from bottom as things stand. 6 defeats from 8 games. It’s a bit worrying.
Re: Bristol Rovers v Barrow match thread
Sat 21st in the table as it stands.
6 points have come from a 96th min winner at home and a. complete smash and grab away where we were outplayed all match. Those that aren’t concerned yet need to wake up.

Can talk about formations and tactics all you want. But it’s about heart and desire and this mob have 0
Re: Bristol Rovers v Barrow match thread
Men against boys. Second best all over. Can’t stop crosses can’t make basic passes. Worse than David Dunns time. Smith and Mahoney absolute passengers. Only Josh Gordon so far gets any credit.
Relegation looms with this squad and manager.
Give Kelly the job before it’s too late.
Feel sorry for those spending £50 plus to travel
And watch this dross.

Zero attacking goal threat, dominated in midfield and defensive mistakes, we are just far too easy to play against. Seriously got to question the signings we’ve made and brought in this season and this analysis system/database we choose them from! Ultimately the team we’ve got at the moment just isn’t good enough and it’s only looking like heading one way at the moment with the start we’ve had

I still don't get why we haven't got a decent right back, also why play wingbacks and have another winger in the team, no point in playing Cameron and Gordon together when you have no supply to them, Whings selections never seem to be tactically right !Big_Bluebird wrote: ↑Sat Sep 13, 2025 3:54 pm Can talk about formations and tactics all you want. Re: Bristol Rovers v Barrow match thread
Under Dunne we were actually playing some pretty good football but we were just mostly out muscled in games, losing by the odd goal in games we could have won
Re: Bristol Rovers v Barrow match thread
Things are probably gonna get very nasty at the next home game..... people aren't gonna stick around or put up with this much longer.

On the plus side, we won't have far to travel next season for a derby game at Morecambe. We'll miss playing Carlisle as they heading back up.
