Given that relegation is a risk every season, you’d think that the club would have a contingency plan to restructure in the event that the worse happens. One would hope that contracts with playing and coaching staff have been written in such a way to allow the necessary restructuring without causing financial crisis.

Nothing wrong with Steinway imo, made an excellent stop from a free kick, comes out well for corners. When times are bad seems like everyone’s heads on the chopping block, when they’re good we get 2 pages per thread.

And another hamstring injury, the players cannot be prepared right this is happening too many times tin pot doesn't cover it, Whing does he understand it's his job to get the player's up for the game so disappointing listening to his interviews!

Can't help thinking that the criticism of Whing being frightened of playing so-called bigger clubs is a bit lazy and patronising. He may not have managed at a higher level, but he certainly played there for most of his career and to me he doesn't come across as a timid sort! While there are certainly reasons to question why we are often slow out of the blocks, I'm not sure this is one of them.

IMO in reality we are in a mini league.
We aren't going to threaten the promotion candidates and are in an avoid relegation league with the likes of Cheltenham, Newport,Shrewsbury,Accy,Colchester,Crawley.
These are the team we must be beating, certainly at home.
Two for the drop, we HAVE TO make sure we're not one of them so we need to get our house in order quickly.

Why is it negative to point out facts. The half time statistics yesterday highlighted a team unable to create anything or even manage a single shot and at the other end (yes first goal was one of those that happens), but the second was terrible defending. This, after a week of training and no doubt some clear the air talks behind the doors after going three down against Swindon. Nothing had changed. People pointing out “we played ok for the last 20 minutes”, isn’t that just grasping for something?

Sorry, not being negative, this is what we are seeing, and facts.

Rob Kelly will have seen what we have seen. We are all well aware of his abilities so l would imagine things will start to improve slowly but surely aided and abetted by the return of key players. No need for any chopping blocks just yet, our objective is not to win the league but to stay in it.

Andy Whing does not become a bad manager over the close season. Last season he was the messiah, now he's become the devil incarnate. We're moaning about the loss of our midfield trio. But the people that brought in Spence, Campbell and Gotts are the same ones that have brought in the replacements. People don't suddenly start doing bad jobs that previously they did well.
Cut them some slack, give it time. We know they can compete, just let's find the key to doing that more consistently.

I agree. The last time Rob was here and kept us up, the squad had players with a bit more about them. That night when we won at FGR they gave it the all from the off as I remember - this lot aren't capable of that, or so it seems at the moment.
