One of our former Managers used 40 players in a season trying to keep. team in the league they played in.
Later found out he was a agent in the side
As for bringing Evatt back no thanks
We tried this when we in the league previously.
Don McEvoy did very well first time around.
We brought him back and he flopped

Just listened to the post match interview on BBCRC. He’s really hammered in to the players and pulled no punches and he’s at the end of his patience. Hes tried to give them as much praise after defeats but this one was hard to take, all that prep out the window.
We have conceded 10 goals and scored 2 in the last three games, so problems at both ends. There’s no quick fix here. Getting rid of Whing will be costly and won’t fix the issues with the squad.
We need to try and steady the ship, try and get a bit of breathing space above the bottom two and get to the January window. Players he thinks aren’t up to it are done now at Barrow.
I really hope the fans can lift the players on Saturday, we need it.

They might Mark and I don't like Managers losing their jobs BUT the fans will start showing their feelings if things don't improve soon and then his position will become untenable as the saying goes!

But how do you know Whing wasn't involved in the recruitment Paul Hornby made it quite clear it involved WOOD, HARVEY and WHING so what are you basing your views on or is Paul Hornby making it up?

How many more times does it have to be said. As has been said even Paul Hornby has reiterated its a recruitment TEAM of Whing, Harvey and Wood. The part that Wood will have the biggest say in will be the money side of the deal.

And do you think that they can do a better job of it in January when everyone else is panic buying as well? We are also pretty much at maximum squad numbers now. We can’t ship out players under contract unless someone comes in and buys them and who will pay a fee for our cast offs? Thats also assuming that there is money in the pot to recruit.
I just don’t see any wholesale changes happening in January.

As much as you can blame Wood for some of the previous decisions ie. the decision to part company with Pete Wild and the appointment of Stephen Clemence and then not getting rid when it should've been done at the start of January, not all of the recruitment has been down to him.

Mahoney for example was Clemence's golden boy the one who was brought in on big wages a two year contract and pinned all his hopes for us on him, he's been a huge let down. One of the worst signings we've made considering his cost.

The likes of Earing and Josh Gordon coming back were from Whings Walsall connections, Booty and Raglan he had seen in the national league whilst with Solihull. Whing actually decided to not go for Aaron Pressley and instead go for the recommended Innes Cameron and whilst I was no great fan of Pressley, he's above Cameron from what I've seen so far.

We haven't got the biggest of budgets and a lot of clubs have increased theirs but what money we have spent has been mostly wasted; Proctor, Worrall, Garner, Telford, Mahoney...all big earners who returned very little. Even now we have the likes of Regan Booty on a three year contract whom we paid a fee for and he looks like a Sunday league player way out his depth. Scott Smith and Charlie Raglan two years....they aren't on peanuts either. Add to that some poor managerial choices over the years and I dread to think how much we've spent paying off the likes of Dunn, Jolley, Clemence and I'd be surprised if Whing doesn't become another before too much longer.

so why did Wild leave ? ..what happened to the great start to the Clemence season ? seemed to go apeshit after his sending off tantrum, never the same after that

I’d say that both Pressley and Acqua are miles/ leagues better than Cameron.
