Great effort there Jonty. Gets me thinking about those old times when we lined up with five, yes FIVE good forwards all capable of chipping in with goals. What a contrast to today's squad and formation! It always seemed so exciting back then or was that just boyish enthusiasm? Tempus fugit.

The one on Tony Field and the description of his time at Halifax, when he was not suddessful, is worth remembering when we discuss 'good' and 'useless' strikers - sometimes the team formation just doesn't work for them. Perhaps supporters then thought we had signed a 'donkey'
