Hopefully they splash some of the Ekatolu cash
Re: Bromley FC (A) match thread
Still surprised they managed to keep 10 men on the pitch after the Shipley challenge.... clearly need reinforcements in defence and a striker in January as Hemmings is awful and gordon/cameron aren't gonna cut it sadly

It was a nothing challenge on Shipley he was just unlucky. Both Adam and Mick Paine on commentary were surprised the Bromley player was given a yellow card

As a team we seem to be going backwards both on and off the pitch. I’m sure we will do ok this season without troublesome time at the bottom or troubling the top.
Bromley are flying tho - they haven’t allowed themselves to think they are underdogs or don’t belong in the league so play with swagger and confidence
We play every game as if we are up against arsenal in the FA cup and terrified of losing - it’s dreadful to watch

Spot on. The little Barrow mentality is holding us back.
Re: Bromley FC (A) match thread
Absolutely bang on with this Charlie. Every game still feels like a huge game for us as though we are the underdogs. We've never shaken that since we came up, and alongside that this manager more than any other plays up to that. We are boring and terrible to watch, massively fed up of watching us have 30% possession all the time and try and scrape what we can get. We don't need to be doing that.

It helps that they are minted. Various owners in a consortium from USA ect one worth over 100 million. Very nice stadium though.kenny lowe fan club wrote: ↑Sat Nov 15, 2025 7:25 pmBingo wrote: ↑Sat Nov 15, 2025 5:12 pm Only watched on the tv but look what Bromley have done with the ground looking really good. Re: Bromley FC (A) match thread
Bromley have had some serious financial backing from wealthy owners in order to improve their ground. Something our owners are trying to attract and we desperately need.Bingo wrote: ↑Sat Nov 15, 2025 5:12 pm Only watched on the tv but look what Bromley have done with the ground looking really good. The possession stats were 51-49. It was disappointing to lose but realistically we were playing a team in the top 7 who were unbeaten at home. At the hour mark, we were looking like winning, so the main worry is why we dropped off after that.Kieran wrote: ↑Sat Nov 15, 2025 7:44 pmAbsolutely bang on with this Charlie. Worrying to know how much we are paying in wages per week to strikers.
0 of them look like scoring 10+ goals this season.

They are operating on a different level to us, Academy, boys and girls youth teams at all age groups, Women's team, you only have to look at their official site to see the amount of sponsors and community activities. So when Whing calls us underdogs in just about every game, he’s not wrong.Big_Bluebird wrote: ↑Sat Nov 15, 2025 7:59 pmIt helps that they are minted. "To achieve anything and to get to the Football League, we have to expect to win every game. I've got to get everyone believing that we can, and I will work hard to embed that mentality into the players, the town, the board and whoever else” Ian Evatt.

Re: Bromley FC (A) match thread
I understand some of the concerns about the fact we don't have a prolific striker etc but how is that going backwards. I know there's a view that 'little old Barrow' thinking restricts us, but its finances that actually do. If we stay clear of the relegation zone (if obviously) that's an achievement.

I couldn't agreee more. The current owners have done fantastic but as every season goes by it's getting more and more difficult for us to survive. New investment is needed and needed quickly.for us to survive beyond the next couple of seasons in league 2.StephenD wrote: ↑Sun Nov 16, 2025 8:54 amI understand some of the concerns about the fact we don't have a prolific striker etc but how is that going backwards.
