It’s one of the hospitality lounges
Ah good... Thanks Adam.

All the hype over a lounge and they had to do them videos could have just announced it if it’s that it’s not that special

Very underwhelmed by this announcement.
Wouldn't it have been fantastic if a new investor could have been found for our 125th anniversary.

It hasn't because instead of being impressed people are completely underwhelmed as a result.

Just reflects the mood people are in..

If we had been top ten and doing great on the pitch, this would have been applauded and been seen as a great thing... It is a great thing, it's just people are cheesed about the football. We are very fickle and probably expect too much

It is a good thing, but given the amount of negativity about results at the moment, maybe they should have done a soft launch, instead of this cryptic build up using Jason Walker. They haven't really given much away in the big reveal either, no pictures, no what’s on offer, no pricing.

It would have gone down a lot better launched properly.

I use hospitality once or twice a season. I presume it's aimed at people like me. They could have emailed previous hospitality users giving 'priority access' to book instead of running teasers, costs very little or nothing and makes people feel valued. That's just one possible marketing strategy better than making people think we're rebuilding the ground or signing a striker.

Maybe they will do that in due course, StephenD?

If that had been the initial reveal, though, imagine the usual negative reaction: "Why wasn't I informed rather than 'the clique'?" "I'm a season ticket holder/Trust member/1901 Club member/Russ's Raffle ticket buyer/regular at the pie stalland I haven't been told." "Outrageous that I wasn't informed directly: I once bought a scarf for Wembley and my nephew bought a BAFC bucket hat." "The sort of thing one would expect in North Korea" etc

I take your point and I'm not a marketing expert Hadrian, there are many ways it could have been launched that would have merit. The one chosen however was clearly not one of them.

The speculation as to what it may have been though.. clever marketing because it had us all engaged!

Like a kid nearing Xmas after scouring the Littlewoods or Argos catalog, picking the bike you wanted... The bike you got was not the bike you wanted..

Clever marketing makes you want to buy the product. I'm less likely to visit the 1901 Lounge following this as it was anti-climactic. If you know people who are more likely to use hospitality following this then fair enough, I don't. It's not like kids with no agency making Christmas lists at all, it's adults deciding how to spend their hard earned wages and it's a competitive market.
