Re: Regan Booty
Hopefully it'll do the lad good and boost his confidence.
Re: Regan Booty
Hopefully brings him some confidence but I’m not holding my breath. Best of luck, Reagan.

Re: Regan Booty
Makes sense; barring another injury crisis wasn’t going to get a look in at the moment
Re: Regan Booty
Good move that's some money freed up, just need another couple more out now for January and another couple in.
Maybe a run of games will do him good, he'll be playing with Tom White there so could be a good midfield at that level.
Sadly not up to it though at this level though looked way off the pace and was nowhere near the team since results improved.
McCann looks a far better player and with Harper in there we're ok plus MJ Williams, just need no more injuries or suspensions!

Re: Regan Booty
We will probably still be paying half Bootys wages plus the loan is only until end of January so it’s hardly likely to have any baring on any January business we might do..Scott5 wrote: ↑Mon Nov 17, 2025 7:01 pm Good move that's some money freed up, just need another couple more out now for January and another couple in.

He excelled at Gateshead who play a similar possession style as Boreham Wood where Booty has now gone to. It would be no surprise to see him excell im his loan spell playing in a style that suits his game
Allegedly he had a number of offers before signing for us. I’d imagine the offer of the three year deal from us was the deciding factor

Scores his second for Borehamwood this evening. Both have been impressive efforts.
Don't let the old man in.

Re: Regan Booty
There’s more goals for players in the national league. Andy Dallas has 7 already if he was playing in the league he would be lucky to have 3.
Re: Regan Booty
The thing with booty is he is playing for a bloody good manager who knows how to play the game and get the best out of his team when we had evatt the only team on par with us for playing attractive football were boreham wood
Re: Regan Booty
It probably helps having a team that are possession based too and play to his strengths, and at a level where he is established and proven.
Plus he's got Tom White alongside him to do the dirty work who at that level is one of the best around.
Technically he looked decent enough but way off the pace for league 2 in terms of running etc. and I'm not sure that his style would ever really suit us or vice versa. He's on a three year contract so maybe wouldn't write his time off here just yet but hard to see him returning or doing anything under the current set up.

Given our style of play (I’m still trying to work out exactly what it is) I was surprised we signed himScott5 wrote: ↑Wed Dec 03, 2025 12:18 pm It probably helps having a team that are possession based too and play to his strengths, and at a level where he is established and proven.

Re: Regan Booty
In the games I've seen him play it was in possession that I was most underwhelmed given the rep he arrived with. Apart from the occassional great long ball, it always seemed to take him a few seconds to get the ball under control and out of his feet to make the next pass, by which point he had been closed down.
Popular side since '03.

Re: Regan Booty
Scored against Newport today
Re: Regan Booty
Newport look absolutely dreadful.
Booty has been involved a lot, and is playing a lot further forward for Wood than he did here. Newport are bound for the national league though on this showing.
