A draw and a win in the replay better.
A win today better than a defeat after a replay. This is a pointless discussion!

12yards. It’s a lot of pressure. Never mind, it would have lifted everyone to get that win but can’t knock the effort. Back to the bread and butter

Proud of the lads, what an effort! :scarf:

Let’s put that same level of effort into the remaining league games now. A good cup run is damn handy, but ultimately it’s all about the league and ensuring we’re still a football league club next season.

That's total crap second half onwards we played ok ,just 2 soft goals but can't fault their efforts!

Well said. They've shown once more what they are capable of.

About 30 minutes of 90 looking slightly like a team. Not good enough.

.just pleased for the fans, the club and team that we made a decent go of it...

We know we have issues but we showed up and did the town proud! Would have preferred a replay like days gone by but we did ok.

No hiding now though, the league is out only focus and if we take what we did today into the game against Tranmere, we should be ok..

Massive well done to the supporters, as always, they did is all proud.

Side note.. be sods law that the next round would end up being one of the big boys..

Mentally whether you like it or not we’re very weak. When you go 2 - 1 up with five minutes to go you should be able to see the game out but you knew deep down we wouldn’t. I’m sorry but there was a certain inevitability about the outcome, We’re a bit like the England cricket team, we have our moments but you know how it will end. So we now go into Tuesday night’s game knackered after the fun and games of extra time meanwhile Tranmere are fresh having not played. I’m sorry but being gallant losers doesn’t wear with me. We need results no matter how we get them. Hopefully we get three points on Tuesday but if I’m honest I very much doubt it.

Ultimately we fell short, it’s how we respond now for the rest of the season. A long grind ahead, a lot of games coming up and we need some points.
