Saw Accrington at Cambridge last night. They were poor but unfortunately that doesn't mean they won't beat Barrow on Friday

Accy is an opportunity to get it right.

We need to focus and worry about US not THEM..

Yesterday's game has gone, it wasn't ideal but it's in the past, let's all try and look forward with a hint of optimism and positivity because right now, we all have to stick together.. we are part of the team!!

I would imagine that the 900 aren't regular readers of the forum.

As someone who was there, and took a day off and booked a hotel to do so, I have some sympathy with them. The song that we run out to may be enjoyed by the diehards but it's hardly conducive to generating a hostile atmosphere. Ten minutes before kick off you could easily have believed it was a pre-season friendly by the number in the ground and how quiet it was. There are ways to generate an atmosphere even when people aren't full of optimism.

And after the game it was even worse. People's memories of events are shaped more by the end than the stuff in the middle. We've gone from melancholic Elton John 'I guess that's why they call it the blues' to melancholic Freddie Mercury 'thank God it's Christmas'. The only time I remember feelgood music leaving the ground was when we were 'celebrating' Carlisle getting relegated, which is just bizarre when you step back and think about it.
