To not get a point from that game was criminal, the best thing is it was entirely predictable. Thought we’d have learned that from the Wigan game.

Agree poor subs, sick to the pit of my stomach god knows how the owners feel.

We even had good chances to sneak a win, McCann really poor ball to Josh would’ve put him one to one and god only knows how Josh cocked that chance up.

That appears to be the unforgiving nature of football, we will need to fight hammer tooth and nail to retain our EFL status.

As said previously fingers crossed our owners can make the best appointment as possible.

All I know is that we ALL need to stick together for our team and town.

Stanway is no where near the form he was on before his injury so Winterbottom needs some game time

Shipley is the same no where near as good as he was

We need a new manager and some new players to save us but do we have the money for it.

Hemming’s & Cameron not up to it. Neither’s Walker when he’s fit. We’ve had some awful forwards lately. Garner was no better. They make Acquah look good and he’s not.

Where has Harper disappeared to?

You could see this squad wasn't going to be good enough after the first half dozen games. Whing had some grace with the “ new squad, we have injuries” rhetoric, but that wore a bit thin after hearing it just about every post match.

The biggest concern I have is that Mr Hornby quoted in the Whing sacking that he thinks this squad is good enough, which suggests there won’t be much incoming activity in the January window. The next Manger will have to work with who we have. Only hard work and fight will get us out of this. Unfortunately the body language after every goal conceded is head down, don’t look at the team mate who never tackled. This team needs to be told they need to fight harder by the leaders on pitch and from the Manager. Have we got that fight?? They have a look of the Ady Pennock side who somehow avoided relegation in the last day playing an already relegated Chester. This squad is giving me a similar feeling.

The only positive I can take is that there is half a season left to turn things around but we cant afford to keep losing and hoping for two worse than us.

Adam Johnson said on the Barrow social that he has asked repeatedly for interviews with someone from the club and was told he would get one in about a fortnights time and that was after Whings dismissal.
Hornbys pre season interview intimated that the owners needed more investment and that wouldn't be coming from them and not increasing the playing budget for this season was a nod to that.
For me we need to hear from them ASAP. These questions need answering
1. Are the club actively looking for a new Headcoach/Manager
2. Would any new head coach/manager have funds for the January window.
3. Where do they see themselves being in 2 years time in regards them owning the club.

Perhaps the silence is the answer, I fear the worst here !, the board sanctioned this current playing squad and they still believe that it's o.k.
We all knew it wasn't but as football fans you have to give it a go!
