There were people getting a bit carried away when we were on the edge of the play-offs and moaning about Wild not getting us over the line. What we’d give for a sniff of 10th now! This seemed to then rub off on the board who got shot of him part way through an alleged 3-season plan (I know there were other issues too) and, since then, it’s been poor appointments, dubious recruitment and a lack of vision. All of that seems to have coincided with IW being promoted internally. Mid-table mediocrity is absolutely fine - for now; this yo-yo’ing from play-off push to relegation scrap is destabilising and no good for anyone.. And, let’s be honest, if we had have gone up we have been pummelled every week because we’re nowhere close to ready. Mid-table for 5+ years please because, if we go down, we ain’t getting back anytime soon. And I don’t care if that sounds all ‘little ol’ Barrow’ - we are not a big club, and we’re not wealthy; we just need to survive this, stabilise, and hang around that middle third for a while. On a positive note, we’ve got time to get the points to do that so do it we must. COYB!

I don’t think it was any coincidence that last summers window that has been our worst coincided with the behind the scenes changes. Alisha Henry leaving suddenly left a big hole that Iain Wood took on as well as his other dutiesstandishbluebird wrote: ↑Wed Feb 11, 2026 5:05 pmThis! PH acknowledged in last weeks interview it was a mistake and they will be looking to employ another person to assist him

The board obviously had a different view to you.olbarrafancumbak wrote: ↑Wed Feb 11, 2026 12:36 pmI think PH has openly admitted they are still on a learning curve themselves and rely heavily from input like Rob Kelly for example.. don't forget peeps, we have been out of the league for almost a 1/4 or a century!!Bigfathoss wrote: ↑Wed Feb 11, 2026 11:27 am I would hate to see the owners go. They have been unbelievable with what they have done for the club. I would say, however, as successful business men they must surely realise that the appointment and recruitment processes they are using are woefully inadequate. Surely they have to change that process.
Calling for a change of heads again surely isn't the right thing to do? The lads barely got his foot in the door . Yes, it's dire but what I want to see now is his promise of being tough and for the team to listen and understand his expectations.
When the chips are down, it's easy to look for the easy way out but with 17 games to pay, I think we would be nuts to change right now!
We have some home games coming up, i sincerely hope the manager is roasting his players as we speak and we see a difference Saturday!
Why should al the managers be sacked off from bone idle non interested players?? We know they can do it, we are seen it .
So if anything, maybe some support for Gallagher who's been around the block, maybe old school approach.. hope he's brave and is prepared to play a different system? And we must hold out breath and see what comes at the weekend..
There is always a panic button, it's not quite time to press..
